Agreed, to an extent. I see where youre coming from on this, but the only people the executives deal with on a daily basis are professional staff and alums, who because of their age and distance from chapters would be most likely to have little problem withtheir sexiuality.

Unfortunately, its the undergrads who would harbor the biggest reservations. They are the ones 18-22, who havent really been exposed to the world yet, who dont understand that the work world isnt composed of all male, white, protestant conservatives, that they'd be quite likely to cubicle with a lezbian, minority or someone whos background couldnt be any more diffferent from theirs. The undergrads (especially freshman) havent been away from home long enough to formulate their own world view seperate from mommy and daddy, much less realize that they have a world view and it is mommy and daddy's. Once they get a job, they realize that the world is full of all types and you better learn to work within it, becasue it aint gonna do anything, but get more diverse.

BTW, It wouldnt make any difference to me. I could care less about who he sleeps with as long as he's better than some of the Director of Ops my org has had.
Honestly though, how many undergrads actually get to deal with HQ staff? Especially higher ups? Typically only your more mature leadership positions deal with HQ.

First off, I don't care who's gay...be gay all you want.

But just to clarify, there is a big difference between national president and a headquarters executive...sometimes HQ execs aren't even members of the fraternity or sorority. They run the physical building, that's it. They are not (or should not be) policy makers for the groups. National presidents and council members are.

True. And generally, they wouldnt be the ones bitching. It would be the new undergrads to the org, who hear about it from another group of brothers or another house and do all the grumbeling. My point was that its the newbies or uneducated to the ways of the world kids that would bitch the most.

Older folx have WAY more important things to worry about like mortgages, kids, families, IRA's and etc than who someone is sleepign with. Its a fundamantal shift in thinking and priorities that happen with responsibilities.

I do commend Delt Alum's kids for being blind to it. Unfortunately, there are many kids who do care and think "its just morally wrong" (Said in my east texas accent)
