Smile Recipes

Hi everyone,

I'm usually a silent monitor, but decided to post today. I really enjoy reading the posts in this forum. You are all very cordial with each other and rarely is there any DRAMA in this forum. Anyway, my post today is of a different note. I've been surfing the web today for recipes as I am tired of the "same-old same-old" when it comes to fixing dinner for my husband and myself. Do any of you ladies have any good recipes that you'd like to share with me? I'm open for all suggestions. Thanks in advance

Thumbs up

Hello,

I hope this is to your liking. It is a fish dish that is easy to make.

Whiting with Tomato and Capers.

Ingr.

Fresh or a bag of Frozen Whiting Fish
2 lemons
1 tomato
1 bottle of Goya capers
Italian Salad Dressing(optinal)
Adobo
Italian Seasoning or
Any combination of seasonings that you like
Paprika for browning
butter/margarine
1 onion

Take fish and sqeeze lemon juice on it. Add seasonings and let marinate for 15 minutes. U can marinate more if u like. Line oyur pan with foil for quick cleanup and place fish in pan. Cut slices of tomato and place on top of fish. Note: you may want to add slices of lemon also for flavor. Slice onions and place on fish also. Finally add capers--to your taste. Cover and bake at a 350 degree oven for 20-30 minutes. Serve with any type of rice and vegetable. I hope you like it. I have plenty of cook books so let me know what your taste is and I'll find something:-)

My husband and I often go to the prevention.com site and find recipes there. We've made (well, mainly he's made) some really tasty, low-fat dishes. Hope this helps.

Not the world's best cook. This recipe works well with my husband and children.

Potato Casserole

5 to 6 potatoes, diced & cooked
1 can cream of chicken
1 small can ham (cut into cubes)
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
1 oninon, finely diced
1/2 small carton sour cream

Cook potatoes; mash or leave in small cubes. Add all ingredients (save some cheese for topping). Stir well; place in baking band, garnish with cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes or until evenly browned.

NOT EXACTLY DIET FOOD.

HOPE THIS HELPS. BON-APETITE
