Hoos Greek or Who's Greek? Charlottesville, VA
Anyone heard of a store called either Hoos Greek or Who's Greek? It's a greek accessories store in Charlottesville, VA... I've heard it's great but can't find record of it ANYWHERE so I can figure out how to get there!

It's Hoos Greek, for the Virginia "Wahoos". Hoos Greek sometimes does sales for us here at W&L, I buy a lot of their stuff. I've never been there but their website is www.hoosgreek.com and it has the address of the store and other information. You can also order online. I've been very impressed with their products in the past.

Hoos Greek is a wonderful store. The owner, Laura Futty, is a great person and truly embodies the spirit of greekdom. Their products are top notch and their service is second to none. Their phone # is (434)923-8228 and their address is 101 14th Street NW in Charlottesville (under the train tressel and located on the historic UVA "Corner"). I hope that info helps and that you visit the store or contact them soon.
<-----a loyal customer and friend of HOOS GREEK
btw, thank you breathesgelatin for posting the link.

I've never even heard of this place. Snifty. Now I'm curious---must check it out!
Well, I'm disappointed. They don't have any Alpha Omicron Pi stuff.

A lot of my sisters always stop in there on their way home or when passing by. Always heard that it was a really good store. I would think that they dont have any Alpha Omicron Pi stuff is bc there is only one chapter in VA and thats in northern VA area. We have a good store in Blacksburg, but it only carries items for the sororities and fraternities in the area. Plus, since its the only one pretty much for both tech and radford, they charge really high prices.
Thanks for the link.

Did you check out the actual store? When I went they had a lot of stuff for the UVA GLOs.
.... is Laura like 7 months pregnant?

So I searched the link and found: "Jul 25, 2005 ... After four years of searching for a buyer with no luck, Hoos Greek owner Laura Frutty said she chose to close the store last month to help ..." from The Cavalier Daily.
::sigh:: and I just found this thread and then subsequently the expired article when the store link didn't work. I still don't have a place to get a lettered shirt close to me. Does anyone know any other store around Charlottesville that sells Greek apparel?

Hoos Greek was the only one I knew of... it was the one W&L girls used the most and they usually did a trunk show for us during new member period...
