Smile Graduate Chapter

Hello ladies. I am interested in becoming a member of a graduate chapter and have expressed interest to a family friend who is a graduate member. I've done research, but would like to know if there is a book I can purchase for my personal reference. I need to know the history in order to proceed on to the future and that's why this is important. I want to know as much as I can being that I'm expressing interest. Please post a message or e-mail me personally if you prefer on info or thoughts you think I should know as an interested candidate. God Bless and I look forward to hearing from you.

Hello, Total Elegance. Since you have a family friend who is in a grad chapter, maybe she could supply you with some resources. I received a copy of the official sorority history book when I was initiated. It is entitled "Through the Years". In my opinion, that would be the best book to read. I think a new edition will be released soon. Ask your friend if she has it. I don't think she would mind letting you read through it. That would be your best source of valuable information.

I can remember the time I was an interest too- and would make it a point to attend any activities the chapter in my area at the time was having. I also would become familiar with our website and talk to members of Alpha Kappa Alpha. They are your best source of information and may be willing to let you see some other resources.
