A question

I have a question to anyone who wants to answer, but I would appreciate it if you did. I am interested in joining Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. I have done my research and I am still doing more research because there are so many things that the sorority has done as a whole and as individuals that I want to learn more about. I have attended many events and met many incredible women and I am very impressed. I felt very welcomed and not intimidated.
To get to my question, how do you feel about pledging in your last semester of school. Do you think that it's not a good idea for the fact that after they cross, they don't get a chance to really participate within the undergrad chapter because they will be a graduate. Would you prefer to just do a graduate chapter?

matter of personal pref.

BUT...
If you think pursuing a graduate chapter is easy...you are sadly mistaken. Graduate chapters do not conduct Intake as often as undergraduate chapters. Some undergraduate chapters don't take graduating seniors. Make no assumptions. Either way, good luck in your pursuit!

I crossed into Zetadom through Alpha Phi Zeta Chapter, a graduate chapter in Richmond, Virginia.

Personally for me, it depends on a few things.

If you plan to relocate, then enter the MIP this semester.
If you plan to complete an internship or student teaching, then enter the MIP after graduation.
If you decide to enter the MIP this semester, then please attend the graduate meeting. I know you (if accepted) are not obligated to go, but you will be a graduate member in less than four mouths. So get to know your graduate members.

This decision is up to you.

If you feel you are ready to commit yourself to our organization then particpate in intake now. It is very hard to join a graduate chapter, especially if you are not well known by some of the members of the chapter. I joined my last semester of college and the bond with my linesisters and sorors is great. (My only regret is that I waited so long to join this wonderful organization). This is partly due to the fact that I am still in the same city. Although I don't get to see them as much as I would like. There are some advantages to joining in undergrad. You get that "undergrad experience" that you may want. It makes joining a graduate chapter less difficult. It's also cheaper to join a graduate chapter right after graduation. If you decide to continue your quest I wish you the best.

Once you become a Zeta, you are one for life. I can almost promise that in your interview, you will be asked what you have to offer since you are graduating. REmember that Z phi B is a lifetime commitment. You can do it now or go Grad, I had two semesters so i did undergrad. It costs money to join undergrad and about 100 dollars more to do grad. You have a year to join grad after you graduate so do you. If it is where your heart is, go for it. just be prepared to explain why.
