What is a "screwed" mixer?

I was looking on a previous thread and I read that someone's favorite mixer was a "screwed" mixer. My question is what is a "screwed" mixer and how do I plan one?

i'm guessing you are referring to a "screw your sister" party. basically, each sister draws another sister's name from a hat and that is the sister they have to find a date for. they can be really nice and invite a great guy for them or they can screw them and invite a guy they hate, thus the name of the party.

hmm....never heard of that description before. I've always known a screw party to be a mixer with a fraternity and a sorority - proir to the sorority showing up (mixers where I went to school almost always were at a fraternity house) all the fraternity would get a screw that was painted a certain color and/or designed a certain way. When the sorority would show up, each sister was given a nut that was painted to match one of the brothers' screws. The whole point was to try to find your match before the party ended.

because there's an entire fraternity that i hate
but that's because the guys are hot but total asses

I thought this was a nut and bolt mixer. I could be wrong.
