My Valentines Day is going to be shabby this year. Mr. Mox lost a ton of $$$ on the game Why didn't he listen to my betting strategy? "The Buc's pirate looks tougher than the Raider!"

I'm sorry I posted that original post yesterday. I was drunk (of course) and we were all celebrating the Raider loss

BTW, Patriots gonna shock the world in 04! lol

Longtime Charger fan. I try to support the home professional teams, when there is a home team. No basketball here since the 80s, so I like the Lakers.
College is a different matter. I went to USC.

What do you mean "why are you a Chargers fan?" Sweetheart, I was born and raised in San Diego.

Seeing that SDSU is so stinkin' close to the Q, I'm surprised that you "maybe" know five Chargers fans. That's odd, I know LOADS of Chargers fans.

Folks, don't let Stan confuse you, the citizens of San Diego are all about the Bolts.

Right on Steetrap!

Lemme break it down for everyone. This Navane's Official Sports Team List:

NFL = Chargers
Baseball = Padres
Basketball = Lakers
College football = USC (Long Beach State no longer has a team)
College basketball = Long Beach State (USC 1st runner up)
College baseball = Long Beach State Dirtbags!
Hockey = Gulls
MLS = LA Galaxy
World Cup Soccer = USA (England 1st runner up)
English soccer/Premier League = Liverpool FC

And if you don't like it....too bad!

.....Kelly

If you don't believe, you won't succeed.

Anything is possible.

I see the Cowboys have tons of potential. They may not look like it but they do. Besides, I don't see any OTHER NFL teams with 5 trophies!!!

That was an awesome game last night.

Next year, I predict the MIAMI DOLPHINS will be in the Superbowl.

UH WRONG. Mostly everyone I know around SDSU (and that's a lot of people) is either from LA, Sac, Tahoe or the Bay Area, so I mostly know either Raider or 49er fans.

Plus, many are transplants from other cities. I know at LEAST 10 legit Packer fans because their parents or them themselves were raised

And, if you can explain to me why the city is paying millions in unsold Charger tickets (I'm talking tens of thousands), resulting in many blacked out games, or why I only see these so called fans in Bolt clothes when the team is 5-1, only for the clothes being no where to be seen when they end up 8-8, or why the Chargers want to move to LA because the city (and it's residents) would never approve a new stadium, then MAYBE I will acknowledge that San Diego is about the Sparks err Bolts.

There may be Bolt "fans", but they only show up before they collapse in the 2nd half of the seaon. That doesn't show that they're "all about the Bolts" at all.

I don't care if the Pats go 1-15, I'll still wear my Tom Brady (and three years ago Drew Bledsoe) jersey and every other Pat gear I have come Sunday.

It's nice to see a fair and square victory in Florida . I didn't care one way or the other who won, I just wanted to eat junk food with Mr. Munchkin, who made it his duty to explain football to me (yes, I grew up in the South and don't know a thing about football!).

For a second, I'm going to talk about REAL football... Navane, what do you think about Manchester United? We've been watching their matches on BBC.

Heh....we don't think much of MUFC.

We're trying to get tickets to see the Worthington Cup final in Cardiff, Wales in March - we want to be there when Liverpool beats the tar out of Manchester United.

Liverpool's Premiership season hasn't been that great so I'm sure that a win at the WC final will help. MUFC has had it's share of troubles over the season as well...though they're doing better at keeping things on the up and up. Then again, LFC and MUFC fixtures are always exciting affairs and ManUtd would do well to not underestimate Liverpool.

We'll see!

Hey dude, I heard the reason it doesn't look like they have a lot of potential is because they don't have shit for talent. That hurts sometimes.

-no QB
-no OLine
-no receivers
-no running back (nope, emmitt doesn't count)
-no great athletes on defense

The 'Boys will need a couple of years, and some SIGNIFICANT off-season moves, plus the best draft in the history of football - which Parcells can pull off, but don't expect more than 8-8 next year - it would be a miracle for this team to make the playoffs.
