Ok, it is so funny to think you addictions are silly until you realize you are NOT alone

Argh! I think my Mom has not yet caught on to how addicted to teh game I am, so there has been no fallout, lol. Once she realizes that it has replaced Sim Civilization (The illest Sim game ever, bar none) then the b*itching will start, lol.

See lovelyivy, you're putting me on to some new stuff. Cheat codes to change personalities? Sim Civilization?? All news to me. Maybe we should take this to PM before people start thinking we're crazy.

Sim Civilization aka Sid Meier's Civilization (mine is version 2)- you pick a civilization, start out with a settler and build cities. Starting at 4000 BC, with the game ending 2020 AD, your cities build walls, you pick advances that give your civilization strengths (the great wall of china means that no one can succesfully declare war on you for instance, at least until the discovery of gunpowder), you pick forms of government. Pre-Sims, the most addictive game in the world (worse than sim tower). I advise you don't do it to yourself.

I can e-mail you the list of cheat codes I dl'd when I got the game (I didn't buy the sims, I got it off of Kazaa- that's why I love the internet!)

*flush* That was the sound of me flushing the rest of my life down the toilet playing all the new Sims stuff you're telling me about....

WHAT??? You downloaded the Sims??? I'm assuming you can't download the expansion packs? I'm on my way to Kazaa right after I finish this. Girl, this Sim Civilization sounds dope. I HAVE to have it. I swear, all I want for Christmas is a bunch of expansion packs. Yes, please email me a list of the cheat codes. YAY!!! Why am I this hype? I'll PM you with my email address. Lovelyivy, you are officially the bomb!

Yep, I know you can dl hot date for one, as I did. I didn't have the sims when I dl'd it though- didn't understand that it was an EXPANSION (I thought it WAS the game) so I then deleted it. I figured out today that I could actually dl it again but I already ordered it on amazon.com and they are sending it. I am considering dling it tonight and returning the game when they send it to me, if the dl works.

I am so bad about all this, I have even got my young cousin (he's 10) hooked. He came over and saw me playing and was DESPERATE to play. I wouldn't let him mostly because I didn't want the beginner to mess up my people after i spent ALL THAT TIME establishing them, but I promised him the Kid's Sims for X-mas.

I'll send ya my cheat codes as soon as I get home.

and FYI- in Sim Civ you can advance your society to the point where you have spaceships. You start out with 3-5 civs other than your own, compete for land and resources, can get spies and diplomats and get points for destroying the other civilizations. I actually managed to destroy all other civilizations during one game, earning myself a place in the hall of fame as Egweiye the Clever (I always play as the zulus/persians/chinese)
