tattoos

i met this girl who has a tattoo of a rose on her big toe with the vine spanning across the rest of her toes making it look like it's growing like ivy. it's great.
i'm too scary to get a tattoo. i just want to know who and what everyone has though.

I've got a gecko on my tummy. That toe tattoo sounds really painful!! Mine didn't hurt too much, but I wasn't really thinking about what would happen if I ever have kids....my gecko will become a komodo dragon. I think I might get it removed before then....

I can't get any (Jews believe it is defacing your body and you can't be buried in a Jewish cemetery)... But a number of my sisters went out and got very nice roses with their letters. One put it on her ankle, and another on her lower back. Both of the mentioned already had tattoos though.

If I could... I would get a dragonfly of greens, blues and purples... soft, no black outlines... and put it on my lower back.

Or, I would get tweety bird on my behind so that when I get old and saggy, it would become big bird!

I have three tattoos! I have a fairy with bubbles around her legs on my hip, the chinese symbol for friendship on my back and a sunflower on my foot. The one on my back is getting ready to be changed into the eye of horus whenever I find money. Anyone want to donate any?

Im getting "I Love You" in Chinese symbols on my right foot above my three baby toes, a star and moon on my left in the same place. Diokete Hupsala in greek on my back probobly with a rose and a chain of elephants around my ankle.

In order I think it will go, right foot, back, left foot, ankle - which just sounds like a weird dance.

My sorority nickname is Fly and EVERYONE calls me that. Even people not in the sorority. So I got the chinese symbol for fly on my lower back. I love it! I didn't want to get my letters because I don't think its really respectful-- granted, once a phi sig, always a phi sig but sometimes you just don't want it to be known (like, at a bar or whatever). So I got my nickname done!

i'd just get something symbollic and hidden on my body

I actually have two tattoos. My first one is a polar bear on the outside of my ankle and the second is my Phi Sig one. I didn't want to get the letters for reasons already stated so I have Diokete Hupsala inside a circle made of a rose, a carnation (my flower family in my chapter), and three forget-me-nots (my favorite flower). So it still symbolizes Phi Sig, but since its not the letters it is not as obvious to people who may see it (and since it is on my low back it's fairly easy to hide).
The only bad thing is that they are so addictive. I am terrified of needles but I'm already thinking about a third.

I have a tribal butterfly on my lower back in black ink and our greek letters in blue ink as the body of the butterfly

we've actually been told by our advisor that we're not supposed to have our letters tatooed at all. (she's a big fan of tatoos herself) Not sure if its strongly suggested or just that we cant. We're supposed to respect our letters and yet if we have them tatooed just think of all that we do in our daily lives that we make a point of not doing wearing our letters in public. Does that make sense.

I LOVE TATTOOS!! They are so addictive too!!! i got my third this summer!!! I My first is on my left outer ankle and it is a moon with a shooting star around it, my second it the american beauty Rose with my service sorority's White Rose and they are on my Neck. and my third is a faery flying up my foot. I have two more tattoos i want to get -- I wasnt my sorority's Family Symbol -- The Crown, and a tribal sun on my lower back! i think i'm gonna waitawhile on them, i dont' have the money. I have several sisters with letters and the crest, but they are actually in places that you can not see then, unless they show you. i personally don't want letter. I don't think it something that sisters should do, but that is me. i think it is a little disrepectable.
