New Job at a Title Company

I just started a new job for a title company. I really like the work and all of the people, except for the boss. She really is a pain. I really want to key her car! ( I would never do that) I really don't know if I should stay or go. I have only been there a month but I really don't like her, she has no leadership skills and is very negative.

What should I be weighing to decide if I should stay?

I'd try to determine how quickly you could get out from under your boss's thumb. If not fast you'll never be happy. If you have any decent amount of experience you can probably land another job elsewhere.

I'd have something else lined up before you quit. Send out those resumes. No job is worth having a nasty boss.

Been there, done that, several times

If your company is large enough, see if you can transfer to another team or project where you wouldn't be reporting to this person.

If not, start looking around. Definitely have a new job lined up, with an offer letter and a firm start date, before you give notice. But be patient - the job market is still pretty bleak. It'll also look strange that you were at your present company for only 1 month. Many companies ask your reason for leaving, and you'll need something more solid than "I don't like my boss" - that makes you sound like you're not a team player. You could say "poor opportunities for promotion/advancement" or something like that.

Good luck
