please help!

During recruitment we have something called theme day where you decorate your house and stuff. Well....WE NEED A NEW THEME! Ours the past two years is Wizard of Oz, and it just came to my attention that some of our new members almost cut us because our theme was "lame" compared to other sororities! HELP US PLEASE!! I know that University of Alabama did something a couple years ago that had to do with beach and sunglasses. We really need something new so if you have any ideas, please help! Also, we're looking for new cheers. Just ones that say alpha gam is number one! ANYTHING WILL HELP!

I'm not exactly certain what kind of theme you are looking for, but...This year one of Alpha Beta's parties was "Alpha Gam Goes Glam." All the girls wore black cocktail dresses and red feather boas and decorated the house very elegantly. Then they served shrimp, veggie and cracker platters, chocolate covered strawberries, and sparkling cider in champagne flutes.

i know i'm not an alpha gam, but here's my suggestion. we did safari tours one year and mardi gras the next. mardi gras went over really well. easy to decorate for as well. no food to worry about either.

the one we always do when girls are leaving our houses are:

alpha gamma delta is the best sorority!
we're the best of all the rest you know we can't be beat!
so if you choose a group-
consider all the rest-
but pledge alpha gam cause you know we are the best HEY!
**it kind of replaces hadie kadie (after we sing the one below 800 times) so they at least understand what we're screaming about

spelling is also a strong point...again, we do this 800 times after each first round party:
a-l-pha, g-a-mma, d-e-lta, alpha gamma delta
(it's kinda sing-songy)

ok, and follow the leader is a nice approach:

just kinda feel out your own beat on some of them. and for the follow the leader ones, always have your loudest person out there (normally it's me...oops!) b/c it sucks if one person yells, "WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE COLORS, BABY?!" and not a soul responds...it's like, "well...al-righty then...nevermind..." ya know? you probably already know those, but i thought i would drop 'em off just in case!!

I know that the Eastern Kentucky chapter does the Wizard of Oz theme, but they spiced it up and made it kind of ghetto (as they put it).
The munchkins were wearing their clothes like Kriss Kross from the early 90's (think TLC's Ain't to Proud video). They make them rap and stuff.
I think that the Wizard of Oz theme is really fun, you can keep it and spice it up. Changing to a new theme is really hard!!! It costs so much money for the decorations and if you just makes some changes to what you have you may find that it takes on a whole new life! You can contact their chapter and see if they have any ideas! Goodluck!
