Question Checking Grades of New Members

Had a Scholarship meeting with our Educator last night, and he brought up an interesting point:

Athletes are required to have their grades checked at the midpoint by their proffessors who turn in a midterm grade estimate and report how many classes skipped. Why not do this for our fraternity? We've had problems with new ppl in the past saying "yeah grades are fine, grades are fine" and then having grades NOT be fine at the end of the year, and we think this might be a good way to check up on them.

What do you guys think?

Thumbs up

I personally think it's a great idea, especially for those people on academic probation, or new members with low GPA's coming in.

In my experience, the Greek Life office provides grade reports to the chapters. They get the office from the Dean of Students as a matter of course, I believe.
