Question Music?

I can't find the old music thread!

Anyway, I just wanted to know what the deal was these days.

I am feeling:

Nas - "Made You Look"
Jazzyfatnastees - The whole new CD ("The Tortoise and the Hare")
Of course, J. Timberlake.
MS. JADE!! Y'all this CD is off the chain...

I am undecided on Busta Rhymes new song. Sometimes I bop, sometimes I flip the station. I dunno...

There is some new chick out named Valerie Green, or something Green...she has this smooooooth arse song out, and for the life of me I cannot remember what it is called. Bamboozled? Hoping you can help, lol...

Question The new thread

I don't know what happened with that thread. Someone must have done something.

It's Vivian Green and the song is "emotional rollercoaster"

Is it worth it? Let me work it! I put my thing down, flip it, and reverse it!! I LOVE THAT NEW MISSY SONG!!! I also like "Ching Ching" by Miss Jade. She's cool.

We al know that I'll always be down for Nas. I think that I may cop that new Jay-Z album, "Blueprint 2." I liked Jay before the whole thing with Nas. I think that he is still a good artist.

I am trying to get down with the mellow jazzy-type stuff. I'll have to check out Jazzyfatnastees and the others that you all name.

Of course, I love New Orleans bounce music! It still gets the party hype!

My musical tastes run the gamut, but right now I only want to listen to party songs. Right now, I have to dance whenever I hear "Gimme the Light" by Sean Paul or "Work It" by Missy Elliot.

librasoul22, "they shootin'!!"

Made You Look-That new Nas joint is so hot! Is it just me or is he talking about Jay-Z without really talking about him ("you're a slave to a page in my rhyme book")?

Busta Rhymes-love "Make it Clap!"
Missy-love her ode to anything but english. (itsurfemmenandyet)
Ms.Jade-Ching Ching & Count It Off
Mos Def & Faith Evans-love their joint!
Talib Kweli-buy this album, people!

***
Jay-Z: I am a die-hard Jigga fan but his two singles are a bit disappointing! I saw a commercial for the Blueprint 2 where he's rhyming about BIG coming to him in a dream and he's trading lines w/BIG...its hot.

I'll still be at the Music Factory to purchase his album on Tuesday.

The album that I'm feeling right now is Justin Timberlake's!!

Tuesday, I will be at Target to cop both TLC and Jay-Z ($10.88 for 2 CDs, I'm there )

Other songs that I'm feeling:

Syleena Johnson's remix with Busta Rhymes "Tonight I'm Gonna Let Go"

"Bigger Business" (Swizz Beatz with a whole gang of people)

Dru Hill's new song, "I Should Be"

"Juicy" by Next (yes, it is a play of of Biggie's song)

"He Is" by Heather Headley

And I know I will catch some slack with these last two:

"Bump, Bump, Bump" by B2K ( yes I know!) and P. Diddy

"Ignition" by R. Kelly (I'm sorry y'all but the man can SANG!)

Thumbs up Thanks for the thread...

Fort Wayne is no fun and so slow! There's only one black station here and they play the same isht over and over, so most of these songs I haven't even heard. I will be headed out to the store to pick some of these CD's up so I can keep up with the rest of the world.

I wake up to the radio and I swear if Eve's Gangsta Lovin is playing when I get up, when I come out the bathroom 15 minutes later, it's on again! I can't take it, I'm contemplating getting XM.

Yesterday I was thinking about how it was about time for her to release a new single. And last night, I heard a song called Final Hour. It was ok. I was really diggin' it at the beginning, but then she lost me. I have to hear it again. I have a feeling her CD will be full of pain (he hurt me, he did this, i felt like this, i left him, but i'm still writing about him).

I bought the album the first day it came out (and for only 12.99 too!!). This album is off the hook - please buy it, it is worth the money spent on it.

Talking Yes! I can post to this thread again!!!

Yall, I have been a CD buyin' fool this weekend!!!

Floetry: lovin it!! My faves are Floetry, Opera, and Subliminal. Subliminal is just the bomb, period.

Jazzyfatnastees: THE BOMB! THE BOMB! THE BOMB!!!!!!!!! #9 is just lovely. And #2 is in SPANISH?! Yall know I was charged!!! I love this CD.

Heather Headly: ok so far. only listened once... one song is really the bomb, though, #4.

Missy Elliot: Diggin' the old school feel that the CD has. One complaint, though. HOW COME she gotta say "This is a Missy Elliot exclusive" at the beginning of every song? I bought the album, I know who it is!

The other ones were replacements due to lost music in the break-up (it really was like a divorce, lol). So I replaced:

Musiq's first CD, BILAL , and De La Soul (AOI:Mosaic Thump). I didn't realize how much I had missed my little cockeyed sexy man!! I listened to Poparatzi a good five times in a row, lol.

I will be picking up Ms. Jade tomorrow to make my Timbaland beats complete.

Oh, and there is NOT a Media Play here! I would have to go spend my fallopian tubes to get ONE CD at Sam Goody so I could use my Replay card. Yall know I am MAAAAAD about that. I am frugal. All the CD's that I purchased above were $11.88 or cheaper. I can't fool with Sam Goody. Busters.

Anyway, I am loving being back in the loop.
