Question Alumna Initiation

I was just wondering if anyone on the forum has been initiated as an alumni? What was the process? I have been in contact with the president/director of New York and she said the it is possible that if I move quickly enough that i could be an Alumna Initiated with the chapter of Sigma Kappa on the campus of SUNY Geneseo. I was just wondering if anyone could give me a heads up or tell me what to expect.

Hi there!

Although I don't have any helpful information to share with you, I did want to say that I am happy to read about your interest in Sigma Kappa and I wish you all the best.

white suit/dress

Okay I know that this has been a discussion on many posts, but where can I find a white suit or dress for initiation? Does anyone have any ideas?

A friend passed this on to me, maybe it will help...
Good luck in your Sigma Kappa quest!

Thank you for contacting Sigma Kappa National Headquarters in regard to alumna initiation. To answer your question, yes we do have an alumnae initiation process. If you could please tell me the about yourself, most importantly the area in which you live. I will then get in touch with an alumnae chapter president in your area. I look forward to hearing back from you. Again, thank you for contacting Sigma Kappa National Headquarters.

Sincerely,

Thank you CutiePie2000. I had already contacted the national headquaters and have been talking to a president of the alunmi chapter in my area. She told me that I would initiated with this semsters class on the SUNY Geneseo Campus because that is the closest chapter to my home, but I would join the Syracuse alumni chapter. I was just wondering if anyone in Sigma Kappa had gone through alumni intiation, to know what I should expect.

My chapter (Beta Tau at the University of Florida) Is initiating an alum with us this year. She is so super sweet! I'm looking forward to it quite a bit.
Good Luck!

Congratulations on your upcoming initiation! I am certain that Sigma Kappa has a beautiful ceremony like her other Panhellenic sisters! Best of luck and enjoy, nay, SAVOR the moment!

Also, be sure to let everyone know that you were initiated on the Alumnae Initiation thread:

So, the date that the initiation is scheduled for is Nov. 16th. It seems so close. I am starting to get a little nervous.I am being refered to the National Vice President for Alumnae, Marianne Burton. She will provide me with the necessary information and guide me throught this process of becoming an alumna intiate. She will be in contact with me, as well as other representatives of the collegiate chapter at Geneseo about any paperwork and a Promise book, our handbook for new members. So it begins. . .
