I'm off to the Fair..

Well everyone, this is the closing weekend for the State Fair of Texas. I'm going and going to have a super time & see Pat Green & the Dixie Chicks.. woohoo!

I was there last weekend for OU's stomping of TX... Stayed around for the fair. Puts others to shame (at least the Oklahoma State Fair).

THE CONCERT WAS AWESOME! I had a great time. It didn't rain drizzled a bit, but oh well!

ktsnake, when is the OK state fair ? What is it like? This was my first time going to the TX fair so I wasn't sure to expect.

The OK State fair is usually in the first part of October (right before the TX fair). It's okay I guess.. It's just the exact same thing every year... It claims to be one of the world's largest but the TX State Fair is bigger and better.

I'm not a big fan of those things in the first place but I saw there was plenty to do at the TX fair. The concert schedule didn't look bad either.

I think maybe next year for fun I might make a road trip with some friends since we're so close to OK anyway
