The Best Part...
What has been your favorite part about being in a sorority or fraternity?

There is no one best thing about being in a fraternity for me
it is the whole package. The brothers who are always there for me. Someone on GreekChat has a signature that says "if I payed for my friends, I have not payed enough". That is so true
and that is what I love about the house.
I really get fulfillment out of philanthropy functions
and there are so many more things I can' list 'em all

Favorite Part about fraternity life
This little saying of mine applies to any fraternity you can think of.
For me, it just happens to be special because I wore a Golden Heart with the rest of my Sigma Phi Epsilon brothers.
The Brothers:
These are the men that I've drank with, sang with, laughed with
These are the men who've seen me when I've hit rock bottom
These are the men who've seen me when I've been at my most high
These are the men who will stand with me at graduation
These are the men who will stand next to me at my wedding
These are the men who I'll call when I have my first kid
These are the men who I'll call when life's got me down
These are the men for whom I'll always be there for
These are the men who shall carry me to my grave
These are the men with who I have created memories that I will take with me forever.

The best part?
At this point in my life, the best part of being involved in Alpha Omicron Pi is sisterhood. I can pick up the phone or write an e-mail and say, "Hi, I'm an AOII and I just moved here." I may not actually know them, but we share a common bond in AOII and that's all we need. I just love that! I love getting to know our youngest sisters by working for the Corporation or as an adviser. I love being able to know what's going on with my sisters in my hometown, even though I haven't lived there in a few years.

Alpha Chi Omega!!
I'd have to say that I love everything with my sorority. Over this summer I got even more "gung-ho" about it since I re-did the webpage for our chapter. I got in contact with a few girls in other chapters across the US and it was cool. I even talked to one to exchange a few rush songs and cheers that we had. It was pretty sweet how this girl and I had a conversation for about an hour, and we'd never met each other or talked before, and it wasn't weird whatsoever. It's just that cool bond that you have. Ok, so i've used 'cool' alot in this post.. oops!
Also, I am on status (I am co-oping [working] and not taking classes), so I'm not doing anything social for the sorority because I don't have time and I'm not on campus, but I am still trying to stay active by doing the webpage, and doing all the non-social stuff that I can because I want to get to know this new pledge class coming in!! I am a junior and I want them to know who I am when I come back to take classes next semester!! Anyway, that's enough rambling for now!!
ax love,
stevie

I love my Alpha Gam sisters!

To build on what LeslieAGD said, I definitely love the sisterhood I feel with my DZ sisters; but the fact that I am part of a community that is so unique and intensely loyal--the Greek Community--is very special to me. As a result, I feel more connected to my university (10 years later), and enjoy "talking Greek life" with other Greeks that I meet everywhere I go, whether DZ or not.

sigep653, It really says it all!
I feel the same as an Active and an Alum!
The most important thing is the Brothers that you have come to know and be part of.
This should not go just for Fraternitys but Soroitys as well!
You All have or will have Friendships that will last for Generations just as I have.
Not only your Chapter, but many others.
How many of your Brothers/Sisters have YOU Met upon This Site and have become close to?
Mine, I cannot count on my Hands! Thank Goodness!
