Mu Chapter Recruitment
Starts in 2 1/2 weeks! It would be great if everyone could drop a note of well wishes to them!!
PM Me for the address if you are interested in dropping a note to them.
For those who dont know Mu chapter is at Brenau University in Gainesville Georgia( North Georgia Mountains area).
This year is the first year of deferred recruitment and the girls in all groups are finding adjustment slightly difficult.
Recruitment starts on Oct 3 and bid day is on Oct 6th. There are seven NPC groups on campus now which include:
Alpha Gamma Delta
Alpha Chi Omega
Alpha Delta Pi
Chi Omega
Phi Mu
Delta Delta Delta
Zeta Tau Alpha
We did have a DG chapter but it closed several years ago if anyone was around when they were and was wondering why they are not on the list.
Wish us all luck!!
PS Now I am the Operations Advisor for the chapter. Anyone have any info ????

From one Ops Advisor to another...
Be organized! lol Keep track of documentation..who has what when.
I have to remind myself to remind my VP of the reports she will have do that are due in December, March and the end of the school year...of course, she'll probably remember on her own
Good luck!!

Lynn

Wendy, I don't think there was a DG chapter there. I do know for sure that Delta Zeta and Alpha Xi Delta were there and left many years ago. I think where Simmons Hall is was the DZ house. Did you know that there was a smaller AGD house that was used years ago. It's where Senior Hall is these days. I think AGD moved to their current house in the 1960s.
Good luck with recuitment on Oct 3-6. I will see yall on Fri. night. I will probably email you all before in any case. Lisa

It is now recruitment week!!! Everyone in Mu Chapter is so excited for it to be over because we have waited so long and grown close to so many great girls, and even know of some that definitely want to come our way. The rumor here on Brenau's campus is that a lot of the girls want to be Alpha Gam!!! It is really exciting.
Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers!!! We want quota plus but it would only take 6 to put us at chapter total.
Loyally in EP,
Jessica

Wendy, Go to www.greekgrams.com Then pick Alpha Gamma Delta. You can choose all kinds of AGD related pictures, then write a note. It's like stationary for email! Try it sometime! Lisa

If Gainesville would move closer to Athens, maybe I could make it!
We're going on a tour of the AGD house (even though I already know what it looks like..I lived there one summer ) and then enjoy "beautiful" Athens!
Best of luck to Mu - collegians and alumnae!
Loyally,
Lynn

Ok, I dont know exactly how I am gonna do this but this is the info from Mu so far.
In the begining there were 84 women signed up for rush, 7 withdrew. We have had awesome return percentages so I am really excited for the girls.
The first day was Open House with I am thinking is alot like the sisterhood day we had on my campus, then today we had Philanthropy (sp) where the girls and the PNMs made pumpkin trick or treat containers and decorated them all cute and stuff to give to diabetic children and they are putting sugar-free candies in them.
Tomorrow is the "Theme Nite" Which is pretty much the same as the skit day we had. The parties start at 2pm and I will try to give an update tomorrow.
These women are amazing in how they do things. They know exactly what they need to be doing and everthing runs so smoothly. These girls really care about there chapter from what I am hearing in discussion.
That is it for now!!
PS I got to meet Lisa today and was sooo excited to talk to her and meet her. You are sooo great Lisa!!

Update!
Ok...today was the "skit day" or theme is what they are calling it here. The girls did beautifully (sp? im so tired!LOL). Things went even more smoothly than yesterday if that is even possible!! The girls are soooo excited about tomorrow.
Tomorrow is pref and the parties are starting at 12:00 with two parties. Then by 5:00 is the bid day festivities. This year they are having the PNMs sign there bid card and putting the bid day shirt on them. The new member will then run down to the houses. This will be taking place at Brenaus Amphitheatre (??sp) and the houses will groups down at the bottom I believe. It sounds like it will be exciting!!
I dont think I can tell you what quota is or not right now so I will refrain just in case. But the girls feel very confident they will reach and the talk is the campus on whole is doing very well this year!!
The alums spent most of the night talking into the wee hours and getting to know each other and the girls better. I had sooo much fun these last couple of days. Makes me miss the collegian days!!! But it is nice to know I dont have the stress of rush, or at least it is a different kind of stress!!
Sorry this is sooo long! I am excited and often ramble when having fun!!! It is hard to not be able to share more but tomorrow will be so much fun to post!!!
