Engrish Lessons

Ok, I hardly ever visit the Cool Sites forum, but I had to share this one (a coworker sent it to me):

OK, I know the meaning gets lost in translation but the "Urine Tester" and the "Pumpkin Poo" were funny!

Thumbs up

LOL!!! We have a lot of Japanese-American friends whom we have to tell about that.

I love Japanese translations of English. One hysterical one is from "Japanese Rules of the Road"--"Give big space to the festive dog who make sport in the roadway. Avoid entanglement of dog with your wheelspokes."

Dave Barry also has a bunch in his book about his trip to Japan. He mentions a sweet little Japanese girl who's innocently wearing a shirt that says "King F@#ker Chicken". Haven't you ever wondered what all those Asian-symbol shirts that Americans wear really say?

Translations

Since I purchase a lot of Japanese imported jazz CDs, I see some rather funny Japanese-to-English translations there.

And on another list I belong to, the posters, after returning from a trip there referred to themselves as "Biru san" (Bill) and "Roarie san" (Lori).
