You're right - totally coincidental. I read in other places that Harry's monogram was already this shade of blue and as explained in the first link, it was used in Charles and Diana's monogram along with other royals' monograms. The crown was used, among others, in Andrew and Sarah's monogram.

Neat coincidence, however!

With all the chatter about the now-Duchess and her Prince of a husband, I thought I'd resurrect this thread.

Have your thoughts about the excitement of an American "princess" changed over the past eight years? Has she (and the husband) lived up to our expectations? Has their move to the United States changed your viewpoint of them? Other thoughts?

Originally I was happy this couple. I was glad that Prince Harry that he'd found someone who initially appeared to be eager to learn about and take on the role of a senior member of the British Royal Family.
However, the couple's words and actions over the last eight years have definitely changed my view of both of them.

Honestly, I’m glad they got the hell away from the Royal Family. With all the negativity and drama that have come out since with former Prince Andrew/Epstein connections along with his family and—sadly—Kate’s cancer battle, I don’t think it was a good place to begin a marriage or raise children. Some of the British press were SO HATEFUL to Megan and eventually to Harry, too. After all, several family members were concerned about “how dark” their babies might be. And then there was “Queen” Camilla who was throwing tidbits of gossip about the couple to the British press to keep them off her.

I think Harry always blamed the press’s insatiable desire for “dirt” on the family for chasing down his mother and causing her death. So he was happy to escape. Megan was also suffering from depression and the palace would not allow her to seek any help that would have caused “negative” publicity.

Saying all this I’m sure there is blame on both sides, but now and then I think the romance of the British Royals is losing some of its luster.
