The Sigma Chi chapter at the College of Idaho has voted to surrender their charter. This decision was due to low membership numbers. Sigma Chi was the only current active men’s fraternity on campus.

Gamma Phi's Epsilon Chapter at Northwestern was installed and initiated! Single-letter chapters returning always feels like such a big win! <3

Four years ago one of their three NPC chapters closed, too. Seems like more than a few smaller U.S. colleges are losing student population as well as greek numbers.
[Small laneswerve: Just before I joined GreekChat, I was
hooked on watching a student-produced YouTube program filmed at The College of Idaho, The Idaho Mole, based upon the nationally broadcast ABC television program The Mole.]

I am so happy for them, especially after what happened at Northwestern during the abolish greek life movement. I hope a few of the other chapters that folded can return in the future.

So turns out the reason Alpha Phi got delayed to return to URI was soil!
The organization is also planning to build a new sorority house in the Fraternity Circle area, according to Renee Zainer, international executive director of Alpha Phi. However, construction will take a few years to complete. Soil studies delayed the organization’s earlier return.
“We had an agreement with the university when we left to come back, and the earliest we could have returned was 2025,” Zainer said. “But we had to figure out if we could actually build on the lot because there was a lot of sludge in the soil.”
The new house should hopefully be ready by 2028.

Omega Psi Phi will be doing a campus presenting next month. This will be the first D9 fraternity on NMSU campus. I am unaware if there was one previously.
AKA will also be presenting next month.

How are the other sororities doing? I hate to see any Greek Letter Organization close, but most especially ADPi.

I took a look at the most recent grade report. The other chapters had members in the 90's while ADPi only had 40. PC sizes were also around 35 ish.
