My concern with the accurate modeling of weapons is to limit people being "That Guy". Rarer than the internet would like you to believe, That Guy will remove a model that has a heavy weapon as a casualty, but actually he forgot it was the OTHER model that had the heavy weapon so he can still use it. Most organized tournaments follow the rule of What You See Is What You Get, or WYSIWYG, so your mental load is slightly less. For a casual or practice game I don't care, as friends and I will restart games quickly and change the army list or weapons to try and quickly test new ideas without having to have a million of the same models ready for the table for a strategy that may not work.
As with anything, someone always finds a way to get around the rules. Yeah, I’d have more questions about the bases and weapons, because to my knowledge, the weapons the figures use are permanent fixtures. They’re attached? I was told the Imperial Guard are pretty weak without the other weapons like the tanks, howitzers, etc. they have. They still look the coolest, to me though.

What I came over here to say is that I’m pretty excited to see how my rust project turned out when I get home from work. I think I’m going to be pleased.

Yes, when you build the models you make a choice on which weapons to outfit or models with. For vehicles and larger models like the Knights many people magnetize them to easily change them, or for transportation ease.

The Guard are due for their new rulebook for this edition of the game in a month or so, there are model and rule previews on the Warhammer Community website. I haven't been too aware of them, but it seems like there are some... interesting changes.

What kind of project is that?

The things he did do have very long term damaging consequences, especially for women. The first term he didn't have the house/senate, but now he has both of them. He changed the face of the Supreme Court for what will be decades and can continue to do that too. He did a helluva lot of damage. And his "talking" isn't seen as just hot air by the allies he's threatening with military takeover.

WIFLSRN: Today, on my way home from work, I had to stop at Panera to pick up bread for dinner. While I was there waiting, I ignored my first Trump supporter of 2025 with such ease, it was practically an art form, like sidestepping a mall kiosk while pretending to be deeply engrossed in an imaginary text.

LOL! What happened, CG? How’d you know he was a Trump supporter?

Oh, it was painfully obvious, I mean, she was wearing a Trump shirt, like awkwardly tucked beneath a camouflage hunting jacket. The entire look screamed, “I just rolled out of a discount bin at the world’s most disgusting rural outfitter.” It was almost impressive, really, how much visual chaos one person could pack into a single outfit. I mean, honestly, ignoring her was like a moral obligation to preserve my sense of decency.

She tried to spark a conversation by mentioning how good their bread is, as if she’d just uncovered some profound secret. In my mind, I couldn’t help but think, “Well, duh… that’s why they sell bread? What’s next, a lecture on how water is wet?” Honestly, it was almost endearing in a painfully simplistic way. Almost.

I swear, Trump supporters look less like people and more like walking, talking cautionary tales for why some people shouldn’t be allowed near mirrors, or voting booths. They’re very dumb, filthy, and disgusting people who totally should be ignored. Ew!

Y’all I’m WEAK! LMAO! I hollered! You literally completely ignore her while she was trying to be friendly? You literally said nothing, CG?

Nope. Not ONE word. I was reading GreekChat while she tried to have a conversation with me. I acted as though she was invisible.

Friendly? A Trump supporter, friendly? Let’s be real, Phrozen. Trump supporters and friendliness don’t mix. Their whole persona is built on negativity and conflict, and I will not take any of them seriously when their worldview is basically a rejection of basic decency. Frankly, engaging with them feels like stooping to a level I have no interest in visiting. I mean, some of us do prefer to keep our standards intact.

Anybody on here ever see the Monica Lewinsky documentary about her and Bill Clinton? Folks thought Bill’s DNA on her dress was spinach dip LOL! I hollered when I heard that.

He had people in his first term that actually respected the law and constitution and told him no. He now has made sure he only has yes men and women on his list to serve. That is the difference. We are in for a shit show for the next four years. People that voted for him, believed his lies, are f ed. Many are poorly educated and live paycheck to paycheck. They will suffer but will never blame him. It’s a cult.
I am getting my finances in order because I guarantee he will topple the economy. I am prepared but many are not. I hope those that voted for him get everything they have coming to them. Unfortunately, many that didn’t vote for this POS will suffer as well.

The rule changes would throw me off. It seems like it’d be a lot to keep up with but when it’s a hobby that people really enjoy, I’d think the rule changes would be just as interesting and enjoyable to learn as the hobby itself.

Xant, what do you mean when you say magnetize? So, the weapons are not attached to the figures themselves? You can pick the weapon? Well, that’s pretty cool. I like that.

Weathering a model. It came out perfect. I’m happy with it.

I don’t know if it was the same one you watched, but I saw “a” documentary about it.

Let’s just say that dress wasn’t ruined by anything on the menu that night.
