Rush @ MTSU!!

I'm happy to say that last night was very successful!!! At least a couple of girls teared-up, and one had to leave the room (during our PHILANTHROPY night!). Approx. 65 girls dropped out of rush altogether , but out of all the girls who stayed in rush (around 350), only about 25 dropped us. Woo-hoo!!! Unfortunately, a few of my sisters and I had to be elsewhere to decorate for our Theme Night skit (for tonight), so we didn't get to see the girls .

From what I heard from my sisters, however, several girls commented on our project by saying things such as, "Oh I'm so glad we don't have to glue stuff together in here like in the other rooms, because I know this letter will actually be useful." LOL!
All of our legacies came back (YAY!). I am hoping to see one girl in particular tonight who is one of my "rush crushes". She was such a sweetheart & if she joins I definitely want her for my little!

Tonight we're wearing blue jean skirts, black flip-flops, and black t-shirts that have "Zeta Tau Alpha" written across the front in sparkly silver lettering. We're all sooooo excited! I'll tell you all about the skit after tonight. I feel kinda badly cuz two rushees ...er PNMs... who are really sweet are in my aerobics class on Tues/Thurs mornings, and I can't talk to them! Thursday will be especially difficult cuz that's bid day, and I'm sure both of them as well as I will be excited & nervous that morning.

We're doing sooo awesome this year, just as last year when my new member class size was a record for Zeta, even for MTSU. (Around 34 out of 36 possible which was the quota). Quota will be set tonight before our skit, but only the recruitment chair and the advisors will know what it is. We're guessing it's going to be somewhere around 40, though.

Last night was AWESOME! We had over 100 girls return for our two Pref night parties. I teared up a little when some of our sisters were singing, and the girls I preffed cried a little too. This is wonderful for us, but not necessarilly so wonderful for the PNMs, because we obviously won't be able to take that many. Today at 4pm our new Zeta members are going to be walking through our door. I'm so excited!!!

One of these girls will end up being my little sis soon! Aside from their totebags, buttons, and pens, we're giving taking pictures of them as they enter the door and then giving them the disposable camera so they can take pictures of our Bid Day party. Our shirts are sooo cute--- they say "Peace, Love, and Sisterhood- All you need to make the world go 'round." We're having a 60s theme and picnic at a park pavillion. I'll update tomorrow on how many new members we got!
