Other possible names for your GLO?

When the Omicron Nu and Kappa Omega Phi Home Economics merged, there were three choices for the merged group: Kappa Omicron Nu, Omicron Society and Sigma Rho Lambda (standing for Scholarship, Research and Leadership). They chose the first one.

Also, for my organization, Alpha Phi Omega, there was consideration of Beta Sigma Alpha, which given we were formed from former Boy Scouts (of America) was viewed as a bit too obvious...

So, for your GLO were there other possible names they could have had?

Delta and Gamma are the first letters of a Greek translation of a secret phrase/motto so that is from whence the name came. I'm sure they could have picked any number of mottos but this is the one our 3 founders settled on.

There's no record of discussion for alternate names for Alpha Phi Alpha or Gamma Xi Phi.
