Brag Sheet

There are a lot of things to be happy and proud about, but it can be "uncomfortable" telling people your great news. I have some news and it's great to me. I don't want to look like a fool of a MOM, so Y'all better add to this thread so I don't look ridiculous!

I talk about my daughter often, but I'm excited for my son.
He will be going to Washington DC for the National Youth Leadership Law Workshop. He is ranked in the top 3% of his class
and has recently been removed from my "$*it list" due to good deeds! I am a very proud Mom and would LOVE to hear others share their HAPPY moments of pride and accomplishments!
edited-His standing is in SPITE of SPARK and accelerated courses in a school that does NOT weigh courses! (I just can't help myself)

Ok, I'll bite.

I'm proud that I completed an intense study abroad program in France.

I'm proud of my great internship and all the things I am learning there.

Well, so as not to have Justamom be embarassed, I guess I'd better post!

I'm proud that I've been raising my girls and taking care of my home completely on my own since early April when the hubby's Navy Reserve unit got sent to...it's a secret, I can't tell you, there are camels though

I'm proud that complete strangers come up to me to tell me how beautiful my daughters are. I know, I know, the outside isn't supposed to matter (and to me, honestly, it doesn't) but it doesn't mean I don't get a kick out of hearing it

I'm proud that, even though I have a general power-of-attorney for my husband (and he earns 99% of the family's income), I haven't gone out and bought myself the Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder I have been drooling over all year.

I'm proud that I have been eating right all summer and getting to the gym 5 times a week. Yea me! lol

I'm proud of my 5 year old who inherited her father's freakishly high IQ and was invited to skip Kindergarten and go right into first grade this fall. I declined because I don't agree with that practice, but it was flattering for her anyway.

I'm proud that I have such an incredible group of friends. I guess maybe I'm not as obnoxious as I think I am if THEY like me! lol (no need to reply to THAT! hehe)`

Congratulations to everybody!

Got no problem being proud of our son. He leaves for college next week and we become empty nesters.

What a year he had. Homecoming King. Outstanding Senior male student -- school and district level. National Merit Scholar. Male leads in the last two school musicals. VP of student body. Student Council. National Honor Society officer. Honors Diploma receipent. Indivual Effort winner and main stage performer in Solo Vocal Performance at the International Thespian Festival (for the second time). Perfect scores in math on both the ACT and SAT. Top 1/2% of the national high school graduating class of 2002.

Accepted at every college he applied to and auditioned for. One of thirteen accepted in his department out of 900 who applied/auditioned. Accepted to the Honors College. Recruited to the National Scholars program at Oklahoma which is, for all intents and purposes, a full academic scholarship. (Actually, under the worst case senario, it could cost us $31 plus spending money and travel for his Freshman year, so I guess it's not a FULL ride -- and he's an out of state student)

I'd tell you about our older daughters, but John would run out of server memory.

Thanks, JAM, it's great to be proud of your kids, isn't it?

I'm proud that I'm getting a degree that most people find too hard to do. I'm proud that I know how to save lives.

I'm proud of Mr. ChiOJenn-he went through alot these past few months-and dammit, even thought he is a million states away he has a good job. And I'm proud that he's a Sigma Nu, because those guys are just awesome.

I'm proud of my parents for going through raising kids again, b/c my brother is 3 and I'm 24-and thats alot of years in between. And they're doing a damn good job..

I'm proud of my best friend for scratching her way back to life again, after being diagnosed as bi-polar and trying to kill herself.

And-this is superficial-but I'm proud of my smile-it's very nice

A few things I'm proud of:

My final class rank = 16 out of 538. That means out of all the graduates in the LSU E.J. Ourso College of Business, only 15 people had higher GPAs than me. I rule!

I have a full tuition scholarship to LSU law school. I've gotta work really hard to keep it, but I have no doubt that this time next year, it'll all be cake

I've been in a relationship for nearly 5 years with the most wonderful guy on the planet. You never expect to find your other half when you're 17, but trust me, it does happen!

Im thankful that I have made it through another summer. Im proud that I am president of my class and the 02-03 year at UmassD is going to be awesome. Im also proud that me and others have the courage and tenacity to bring another GLO on campus.

I’m proud of the fact that I managed to hop from five different bars this evening and still make it home in adequate condition.

I'm proud of the fact that I made it in college this far, without dropping out or making anything below a "C", DESPITE that I was
told that I would never: make the honor roll, graduate from high school, and be admitted into a four year university,
because I did so bad academically when I was little.

The thing that I'm really proud of lately is the fact that I had to decide last week between taking a promotion at work, or accepting a spot in L.A. County's Administrative Intern Program, which is like a young executives training program. Over 900 people applied for 4 spots in the program!!!

I took the spot in the Admin Intern program. But being the sap that I am, I'm also proud of the fact that everyone in my department is sad that I'm leaving and asking me to change my mind! hee hee

I've got lots of other things and people to crow about, but I'm going to stop now before my head gets too swelled up.

Question

I was so dissapointed when I found out the Alligator did not eat its young!

It is scary finding out that there are really some good kids in the world! They have it in the genes!

Some of the ones that I see, I wonder what jean pool they came from!

It is nice to hear about things like this!

There maybe hope for the Future of this Country!

Keep us updated! Way To Go DA and JAWOW!
