Hey ladies, my little (biological, not sorority ) sister is strongly considering University of Oregon for next year, and we are wondering about recruitment. Our mom went there and is a sorority member, but that was over 30 years ago, so we need more current information.
If anyone knows how competitive it is (numbers, the rec situation, etc) and could offer some insight, that would be awesome!
Hello Sigmagirl, I'm about two years out and still active with my chapter and panhellenic. Recs wouldn't hurt, but are not expected. My last year we had 20-30 recs for around 800 PNMs. So get as many as you can, but don't stress if you can't get all.
There were right round 800 women who signed up for recruitment this year. Quota was 52/53 (I'd have to double check). There are 10 NPC chapters, one local chapter with a Jewish history/membership, two NPHC and one NAFLO.
That would be the basics. Feel free to PM me for much more detailed information!
