I'm new here :-)
Hey Ladies! I'm an Alpha Gam from the only Gam chapter (Alpha Omicron) in West Virginia, at WV Wesleyan College, i pledged in the Fall of 2001. our website is www.wvwc.edu/fratsoro/agd , there are pictures and stuff on there... I'd love to meet more Gams on here from different places! Alpha Gamma Delta really is a connecting force... when i spent 3 weeks in England at the beginning of the summer, i ran into 2 gams in the subway - one was wearing a rush shirt; they were from Auburn University in Alabama. I have never seen such a unique sparkle in someones eye as when you tell them that you are also a member of such an amazing group of women. My advisor from high school went to the same college as i do, and was also a Gam, she was so excited when i became a member; we are all connected forever.
Well, i was just stopping by to say hello and share an experience... if you would like to AOL IM me, my im name is KJOJO26003, my email address is joseph_kj@wvwc.edu.

(PS- does anyone else use esl&l to sign letters? or is it just our chapter? i know that ihq uses Loyally, and stuff like that, and that others use LiEP... i figured that one out on my own )

Hey guys! Thanks for replying!!! Lisa- I havent heard anyone else call us just "Gams" other than on my campus, people i've met from other chapters all say "alpha gams"... i guess people at my school are just lazy hehe, I'm gonna try to private message you to tell u what esl&l means... we try to keep it within the sisterhood that way its more special to us... all the other sororities here have slogans they sign with too, but most of those meanings have been made public, which leaves people guessing about ours.

Hello Kristen! Welcome to the group. Actually we were told by IHQ not to call ourselves Gams. Gams are legs and we are not legs we are Alpha Gams- is what they used to say to us all the time!!
But it makes sense i guess!
I hope you like it here!
LiEP,
Wendy

Wow, i never thought about that connotation of the word "Gams"... seems like something my summer philosophy class teacher would bring up about words with multiple meanings
