Road Trip Music!
Okay guys, it's been officially summer for several weeks now. And my favorite part about summer time? Road trips!!
A few of my sisters are going to take a road trip to Duck in North Carolina and it's time to decide on the musical palette.
So what do you guys think, what's are some of the best CD's for a roadtrip?
Here's my suggestion:
Mr. Deeds Soundtrack. I bought it a few days ago for two great songs. One by Counting Crows and another by Dave Matthews Band. Turns out the entire CD is awesome! Stuff by U2, Weezer, Travis, Lit and even David Bowie (with an intro by Adam Sandler!).

Download Atmos. I don't have his cd just a few burnt songs. I haven't heard of him except his name came up on a search engine. He had the some of the best lyrics ever. The name of the song is multiple connotations. It has a good beat to drive to, nice and laid back. I'll post most of the lyrics (at least the ones I rember) in a different thread for reason at all. Hope that helps.

How about 80's music?! That's always fun!
If I could have it MY way, I'd listen to country the entire way!!!

80's music is the BEST!! When I go on long trips I make sure that I have CD's that I know ALL the words to so I can sing along and NOT fall asleep.

"America" by Simon & Garfunkle is essential on a good road trip CD....it's the song in Almost Famous that convinces the sister to go find herself and her place in the world....essential!

great road trip music
I remember that song from Almost Famous -- it's a really good one. Maybe I'll pick up that CD. Cameron Crowe always does the best soundtracks.
Oooh! 80's music. Good call. I'll be sure to bring the Wedding Singer soundtrack, too.
Hmm... noticing a trend in my music preferences... I'm a big fan of the soundtracks/compliations for road trips. Maybe it's my short attention span but they're a great way to keep everything feeling fresh and new, ya know?
I heard once that Adam Sandler actually wanted to be a rock star before he wanted to be a comedian and he's totally into music. I can see that. His soundtracks are always so great, that's why I was so eager to pick up the Mr. Deeds soundtrack even though I haven't even seen the movie yet.
