Tears would come to my eyes everytime he did one of those "granddad" cartoons that would have the granddad up in Heaven or they'd visit the cemetery.

My favorite is from a Sunday morning edition. The kids are sitting outside, looking up at the stars. One of the kids says to the others, "God turns on all the lights so we know He's home."

I have it tacked onto a cork board that's still hanging in my old room at my parents' home. I'm trying hard to find an online copy somewhere. So far, no luck.

The good news is that his son has been writing them for the past 10 years or so. They'll definitely go on for quite some time.
