I guess the crazies are everywhere.
I'm waiting for my book to come in. Thank you for the referral.
As to Single White Female, she was "insulted" when I told her I didn't feel comfortable, and tried to make me feel guilty, saying that she just wanted to bring her sick mother on a trip, blah, blah, blah. Um, her mother just had a transplant and can't be around certain people (like me at the moment, I'm fighting pneumonia again) who might be a cross-infection risk to her. So, yeah, I'm seeing her true colors right now.
She hasn't called/sent a text/emailed/posted/tagged me since she replied to me, so we'll see.

I just receied "The Gift of Fear" from Amazon and I started reading it this morning. What a compelling read! Thanks for the suggestions. Even though I'm only 70 pages in, I highly recommend it. The insight is just fantastic. Thank you again to everyone. So far, the girl hasn't contacted me again, so that's good news.

I would say if you don't here anything in three months, you may be fairly safe.

True, and may I add, based on personal experience, that you never totally, completely let down your guard? AZ-Alpha Xi & AOIIAngel can attest to my hypervigilance. Once you've been stalked, it's always in the back of your mind. Not paranoia, just awareness.
ree-Xi, keep her on ignore. Do not respond, ever.

Unfortunately not. Never know when stalker will decide to reappear. My son had a stalker who went over a year without any contact and then she was back full time until I sold my house and refused to put a forwarding number on my phone. She did begin to follow him at the Community College he was attending. When he got a GF he became concerned for the safety of GF and contacted campus security. Now that I am unfindable to her and he is transferring to a new school, looks like she has no way to find him for the time being.

True.
I was thinking though since it was sooo much distance and the only conversations have been online it would be safer. Again I am basing on limited information and the level of perceived crazy.

Scary stuff. I really want to check out this book. Boyfriend is always giving me heck for being ultra-paranoid about things, but I can't get past it.
When my mom was pregnant with me, she worked at a psych center & there was this guy (a previous patient) that really really liked her. My dad traveled for work a lot and would be out of town for a week at a time. Our house is out in the woods and one day my mom saw this guy out our window right in our back yard! She called my neighbor who came out with his shot gun & witnessed a guy running away down the road.
Talk about scary. This guy found out where my mom lived by running into my mom's drunken father at a bar....
crazy stuff happens & I do not under-estimate it
