I think it would have been prudent for them to produce all 9. While not every member, collegiate of alumna, will buy a Lilly product, there are a lot of people who would buy more than one.

You will see this contest again. Like you said, it would make sense for them to produce a print for every NPC. But why do it all now if they can use the NPCs to do all the PR for them for a while. They could do this contest once a year for several years.

I feel like it's only PR for them during contest-time. The fans they got on facebook or the people who started to pay attention to them and did not get a print will probably not care much about Lilly again until the next contest.
i also want them to do this more than yearly- i'll hold my breath until they give me a SK print!

I agree with this. I'll be honest and say that I was really thinking about it and if I ever wanted to start a business-I would most likely connect whatever I am marketing to Greek life because you know there will always be people who will buy it. Look at some of the ugly Greek items they sell out there-and people buy it! I think you commented about the vast amount of Alumnae and Collegians-that's so true. Even if I don't buy a print, I have sisters at other schools who will make up for me not buying any by buying up the entire line of LP (should they make one for my GLO). That's why I think LP will be def. doing another promotion like this and eventually open it up to all the 26 NPCs (and possibly other councils).

I could see them opening up to maybe NPHC, because they also have so so so many collegiate and alumnae members. I don't, however, see them making prints for professional GLOs. From a business perspective, making a print and products that 100,000+ women might be interested in is much smarter than making one with 10,000+ women.

I could see them wanting to do NPHC but it not happening. I know (and someone who knows more can correct me/add on) that the NPHC is VERY particular about the use of their letters. Members do not use their letters in fabrics that are not their color/fabrics with any pattern on them. I just can't see an NPHC giving lilly the go ahead to put letters into a print since they are so stringent (from what I learned about the NPHC in college) about letters.

Whoa there on that estimate of 100,000+ collegiate members for each of the sororities that have Lilly prints--or any sorority for that matter. That number would mean, for a sorority like KD with about 140 chapters, an average of 700 members per chapter. Not even Ole Miss is that big.

I was basing my numbers off of NPC wikipedia pages, which had SK listed at over 156,000 collegiate members, ADPi with over 220,000 collegiate members, and ChiO with 300,000+ collegians. My bad for not actually doing the math. I realize, now, that this might be an 'all time' number of members, not active collegians.

Yes, that's the number of lifetime initiated members. Gamma Phi Beta has more than 160,000.

Seems that everybody is trying to jump on the Lily Pulitzer Bandwagon:
I still don't know if vegetarians morally eat animal crackers, though.

Okay, so you take some shapes, make them pastel colors, and viola! I'm pretty sure I can make prints for other 18 NPC groups.
