Wink I believe in Delta Tau Delta...

Hello guys! I'm pretty new to this site, and I just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. My name is Molly, and I'm a former Delt Queen for EH Chapter at Texas A&M-Commerce (formerly East Texas State Univ.).

If you're familiar with Rock Clinton or Alfred "TBone" Kuszov, they are guys from this chapter. I think TBone will be doing Rite of Iris this year for those of you who'll be attending Convention, and I know Rock will be there....he's Mr. DTD in my book. Tom Huddleston (former President) is also from EH Chapter, and I have to tell you....he's an amazing man! On the larger scope, I know some former Chapter Consultants. Jerry Cooper and Scott Bates are two of my dearest friends.

Anyways, I've gone on long enough...I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a Kappa Delta Alumna from A&M-Commerce (Spring 00), and I'm pretty active with the girls still.

Y'all have a great day and continue to commit your lives to excellence! Truth...Courage...Faith...Power

In Greek Spirit,
Molly

Molly,

And not only that, you've obviously heard the Creed.

I think I might have seen your name in the Guest Book on the webpage.

Thanks for the nice words. I don't know "T-Bone" but do know Rock and Tom. Pretty sure I've met Jerry Cooper -- I think he was a Chapter Consultant or a DTAA Intern. Very impressive guys.

Had a small crush on a KD when I was in college, but it never went anywhere.

Best of luck to you.

DeltAlum,

Yeah, I think I've heard a few Delt phrases in my life. A few of them still stand out!

You had a crush on a KD, huh?!? I hope she didn't break your heart. We wonderful women have a tendency to do that from time to time.

Have a great day and thanks for making me feel welcome here!

Hi again Molly,

Nope, my heart remained intact. It was just a small crush -- I thought she was kinda cute.

And, at that time, there was this Alpha Gam pledge and a couple of independents who were keeping me pretty busy.

By the way, you may know that Dr. Bob Roush, another Texas Delt replaced Tom Huddleston as International President of the Fraternity. He's from Sam Houston State. Another most impressive gentleman.

I've heard the name, but I didn't realize he was from Texas. So many great men from Texas...

Hi Molly,

Texans are an interesting lot. I'll leave it at that.

Delt has certainly benefitted from Texans recently.

My wife's best friend is from Texas, and I love to tell her that they're going to cut Alaska in half and make Texas the third largest state.

I don't have any ex's in Texas...and our son will start school at Oklahoma in the Fall.

All in fun.

Have a good day.

Oh, I have such a kick writing back and forth with you. I spoke with Jerry Cooper last night and he said he might know you. He said there was a "big wig" from Aurora....could that be you? I felt bad because he asked who you were, and all I could give was your city, state, and screenname....

TGIF! WOO HOO!

TGIF, I agree!!

Big wig, huh? Some people in the past have thought I have a big head, I think.

I'm (in theory) a Division Vice President -- but to be honest, I haven't had the opportunity to do much for a couple of years due to being out of work for almost a year after one of those "corporate mergers" you hear so much about. (TCI and AT&T) Now, I travel a lot, so it's hard to find much time for anything except that and the family.

I think maybe Jerry and I may have had lunch once when he was a consultant -- but that's been a while ago.

It's interesting that our youngest will go off to Oklahoma just as we close that chapter -- although I think the chances of him pledging anyone are slim and none. He's a National Merit Scholar, and was accepted at a lot of big time schools, but heavily recruited and given a full academic scholarship in Norman. He hadn't even applied there.

The fact is that (except for a Greek Letter academic honorary our oldest daughter is in) I'm the only Greek in the family, although my wife was recruited heavily by Pi Phi, Chi O and ADPi. Actually, I'm wrong, my mother-in-law is an ADPi, but doesn't talk much about it.

At the moment, I work for a company headquartered in San Antonio and visited the Shelter in Austin last summer just at the end of a remodeling. Great facility.

Way more than you wanted to know. I think I'm rambling.

Nice corresponding with you. Any Delt Queen is royalty in my book.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Well, thank you for sharing so much about yourself. I'm sorry it's taken me so long to get back with you, but I've been out and about spending time with sisters and Delts. Fun times all around!

We need to get more guys on this site. Any suggestions?

No Prob.

Been in Phoenix/Tucson all week. Dropped in a walked around the Delt Shelter at Univ. of Arizona (just happened to see it while driving by), but didn't run into anybody inside. Guess what few of them are living there were probably in class or working.

More later.

You two know Coop?

Jerry Cooper was very influential to my decision to join Delt. He's been here at A&M for a while, and I talk to him all the time about all things Delt. He's an awesome guy, great Delt.

Crazy to hear people from around the country talking about Coop. The rest of the Delts will get a kick out of this!

Take care you two. If you happen to talk to Coop anytime soon, tell him you saw a message from an A&M Delt from the Psi pledge class. He'll probably know who you are referring to!
