Hello AePhi782!

This is just a friendly note to let you know that the women of Sigma Sigma Sigma do not recognize Tri Sig as a nickname. Instead, we happily answer to Sigma or Tri Sigma. This has something to do with a lesbian organization that refers to themselves as Tri Sig.
Not all of our sisters are aware of this policy, but we as a whole appreciate those who respect our National request to eliminate this phrase.
I have made it my personal crusade to gently correct those who are unaware.

I do LOVE to see us listed as a popular sorority, though! We at Beta Xi chapter had an AWESOME formal recruitment-we took our largest New Member class since 1992, and they are all amazing women. Snaps to us, and good luck to all the other chapters (Sigma or not) that are in recruitment as we speak!

Greek love,
Cecelia

all greek orgs should be recognized on every campus no matter their affiliation (local or national..etc). No matter how popular or how unpopular. I don't want to sound mean..but what does popularity really have to do with the success of a greek org? Success isn't universal with popularity and it doesn't show in numbers or the amount of money you bring in. Success is shown when your members know eachother as well as they are capable to know one another. It shows when you will lend out a helping hand to any and all other greeks, and any other person in need of help. Success of a greek org is doing the "not so fun things' like volunteering at a special olympics event, or doing something for the university. Success is being one, not popular, not unpopular, not big, not small, not rich, not poor, it's what you make of it.
