What are Your Halloween Plans This Weekend?
What are you doing this weekend?
Our community, as usual, will trick or treat tonight...they always do that when Halloween is on a Sunday, I guess so that people can go to church on Sunday. My kids will be off the wall all day so maybe we'll watch some movies--Casper, Garfield's Halloween? and we've got some Halloween cookie cutters to make some sugar cookies. We'll leave for trick or treating at dusk.
Then tomorrow we make a Day of the Dead altar for 2 relatives who passed away this year- after All Saints Day celebrations at church.
Share your plans!

Avoiding it like the plague.
The ex and I are planning on going to dinner since one of our old favorite restaurants is closing down, but that's it. I'm just totally not into Halloween this year at all.

My cousin is throwing a Halloween bash at her new apartment tonight, so I'm going to that.
I'm also really excited for tomorrow because I want to see all the kids in costume in the neighborhood! I haven't been home in 4 years for Halloween, so I can't wait for all the trick or treaters!!

Last night was The Phantom of The Organ Spooktacular - world renown organist playing everything from Toccata and Fugue in d minor to The Phantom of the Opera to Ride of the Valkyries and 2001 Space Odyssey. It was amazing.
Tonight, Trunk or Treat at church - we're doing Pixie Hollow as our Trunk Theme.
Sunday is Trick or Treat in the neighborhood.
Monday figuring out WTF I'm going to do with all of the candy.
I forgot to add watching The Worst Witch. Tim Curry + cheesy 80's "high tech" graphics = Amazingness. Plus, if you've never seen it, you now know how Fairuza Balk prepped for The Craft. LOL

Somehow I ended up on candy duty. I may see if I can pass it off to my brother.

There's a party and people are going to the bar tonight...I say a party, because there's only one that I can even contemplate handling at this point. I'm going to make myself go because I know I need to be social, but once again I'm tired, have a lot to do, and have no intention of getting drunk. Which means I'll probably get there at 10 and leave at 11...but it's the thought that counts, right?

Minimal - trick or treating at the mall. Costume fitting for Renfest competition - does that count?

I ran into an old co-worker at the grocery store last night and she invited me to a party for tonight. I haven't decided whether to go. She'll be the only person I know there. I'll be leaving my son home alone (which he is fine with and he's old enough and everything.. I just don't like not being available when they are at my house). I just don't know if I'm in the mood. It will probably be a pretty wild party and that's not really my style.

I'm hosting a potluck at my place tonight.
I will be dressing as my interpretation of Baron Samedi.

My friend invited me to go trick or treating with her and the kids that she's babysitting. I'm excited because I haven't been trick or treating since maybe 13.. I didn't have a costume so I'm wearing my Jeremy Shockey jersey and she's going to paint my face as like a zombie Gotta love a theater kid who does good stage make-up
