Recruitment Ideas?
I know there are some threads about recruitment ideas but they were kind of old and pertained to fall rush. I go to a school with 27k people but only 10% of us are greek. My chapter has about 34 members. I need some rush ideas. Traditionally we would invite PNMs out to the house and chill but I would like to get away from that as our Numbers have been decreasing. Any ideas on what to do for a spring rush? Or a rush in general?

You just said that you know there are many threads about recruitment ideas. Why don't you try reading them?

Does your campus only do spring rush? Or do you have both and are looking for spring rush advice? Generally on my campus, groups picked up a few randoms but generally focused on friends of pledges from fall semester.

How visible are your brothers on campus? We had a similar problem with low numbers, so my chapter decided to make sure that not only did we invite guys to hang out, but we wore letters around more often, had more pin days and got more involved on campus. Not only did our numbers go up (more than doubled, actually), but we greatly improved our chapter as well.

To Psi U MC Vito: If you read my post you will have an "ah-ha!" moment and realize that I did read the other posts which is evident when I said "but they were kind of old and pertained to fall rush." Ignorance is a bliss.
To everyone else who actually had relevant posts and wanted to help:
Yes we do have fall and spring rush but I was hoping to zero in on spring rush ideas, though if you have stellar fall ones I would love hearing those too.
Southern TKE what types of things did you do on campus to get more involved? I think that would be an excellent way to basically rush without rushing ya know? I am going to make rush shirts for the brothers and our sister sorority to wear around to increase visibility in that way though I would love other ideas!
Thank you.

I fail to see the vast difference between fall and spring rush that you're so adamant about. The only difference is that your potential membership pool already has friends at school and has had more of a chance to see the less than savory aspects of your chapter. I don't think that changes too much regarding recruitment strategy.

This is what I was getting at. I did read the post, but I couldn't see any reason why it would matter what semester it was. My chapter did more or less the same events for both semesters, with one or 2 exceptions for things that were seasonal.

It's really not that hard. Most of us just joined clubs and took leadership positions in them (a wide variety will attract more guys. Everything from College Republicans/Democrats to Chemistry Club to Ultimate Frisbee to SGA). Just make sure it's something that you enjoy doing. If you show up soley for the purpose of rush, contribute nothing, and are unhappy it could have an opposite effect.
Also, we quit relying on partying soley as a way to get to know guys. Even sitting/talking with a few freshmen at lunch before rush (if it's allowed and you can do it without being awkward) goes a very long way.
