Cincinnati Recruitment begins with 425 PNM's
425 PNM attended the information session today. This is up from 350 last year. They start at the student union and rotate through 7 rooms for an information session with each group. The chapters can have 15 members in the room. Each session is less than 20mins. Friday evening they will go on House tours of each house. Saturday they return to up to 4 and two Prefs on Sunday. Bid day is monday.

Nope. Didn't do it. She is already quite involved with her honors program and intermural tennis (she went to regionals in high school) and has made a lot of friends. I didn't pressure her since her father is very anti-Greek.

Pref is today. My niece's good friend is going through, but I don't know what chapters she is attending. Maybe if the friend pledges, there is hope, yet.

If the good friend could do some persuasion, there's always a chance of COB. That's what my sisters roomie did. Fingers crossed.

The girls just got their bids!! My sister is now a member of Kappa Alpha Theta...I'm so proud!!

How wonderful! One of my neighbors was a Theta at UC in the late 60's. They were great then, and great now. Love their house location and vibe. Congrats to your sister! Anyone know how all the chapters did? (KD anyone?)

Total number of women placed was 334. A 75% rentention!!!  Record numbers for Cincinnati!!
I am so excited for my Alma mater, but sad that my chapter is not there currently. We left in '99 before the new recruitment method was adopted, we so would have made it through those tough years if that method was in place then. Cincinnati as a university is on such an upswing and the new President is incredible. Maybe I can wish to be the next expansion group!!

I think RFM will save a lot of chapters and hopefully be instrumental in some chapter rebirths.

This is so great to hear about UC! I would love to see numbers pick up and some of the old chapters that have closed over the past 20 years make a comeback. Those are great retention numbers for Cincinnati.
Next Ohio recruitment stories are Wittenberg and Miami in January, and I have vested interests in both of those schools. Bring on winter formal recruitment!
