What the hell??????!!!!!!!!!!!

Some of you may know that the Phi Mu at Michigan State got closed down for various reasons. They had the most beautiful house I've ever seen, and they were the only sorority to still be living in their original house from when they colonized long ago. I just found out from one of my sisters that others were moving into the house. We knew that someone would be in there, but we never thought or imagined it'd be guys...fraternity guys. The Sigma Pi's are moving in there I guess. I'm so angry about this. Not that it's the Sigma Pi's fault. Hopefully if they throw parties, they'll respect that that particular house alot to a lot of girls. So please, if any of u are out there, be nice to that house!! It would be a shame for the Delta Nu Phi Mu's to be there for a party or something and see their beloved house trashed.

Lifesaver...thank u for the comment. I duno if I was drunk or just really tired or both when I wrote that. I didn't mean to judge fraternities like it, and I think it just came out the wrong way. What I was thinking is that I can't see guys living in that house. I've only been there once, and it's so girly and stuff. We don't have a house, so when we saw our chapter room we were just in awe. So I didn't mean that I can't believe they put fraternitities in there (like I had said), but what I meant was what I just re-wrote. What some girls from our chapter had heard was that they were gona rent the house out until Delta Nu could re-charter or however they do that. Hearing about another fraternity moving could mean that this house could possibly never house Phi Mu again. Then again I don't know the exact story about who owns the house or anything else. I apologize for my mis-wording.

Aw, that'll be tough for the Delta Nu Phi Mu's. But most of the fraternity houses I've been in have been well-kept, it just depends on how nice it was it was in the first place. I'm sure the guys won't want to make the palace a sty, so it'll be ok. It won't be as girly of course, but it'll be ok. I can't imagine someone else moving into my house...it'll be super hard for those girls to be able to go to parties there (esp. considering the fact that sororities aren't allowed to throw parties in their houses, at least at my school.)

Hello...I understand your emotion its tough I know.
I am 100% sure that your house corp was smart enough to build in a little slush fund to help refurb the house when you return to campus.

Also I would personally rather have a fraternity in my house for a few years than a new sorority come and colonize. The fraternity is a placeholder a new sorority (no matter how much panhellenic spirit there is on a campus) is a competitor.

I agree with Aphigal. Be glad it is a fraternity, or hell, I would rather even see another sorority there, rather than an admin building or a dorm. The Crow house at Clarion is now a "family" house (like, an actual normal townie family lives there) and it is the most depressing thing. At least there is someone there enjoying Greek life and being happy.
