New Sorority Houses at Alabama
If anyone would like to see the plan for the lots, PM me and I'll send you a scan of the page from the fall Mahout which lays it all out. As an FYI to those who could not envision where they were to be located....

Small lane swerve here. Since there are new houses being built, does that mean there is/will be room for expansion to more sororities? Sorry, I have barely a clue about Bama, except that it is a big and very strong Greek system at which my sorority is not currently represented.

Yes, they want to add more after Delta Gamma comes on next year. They will have 17 NPC groups then.

So I guess I missed the information on Delta Gamma and their OLD house. Was it razed or sold off or given to some other group who came on after they closed?

Boy, are you behind! Sort of all of the above. First, the University bought it back - as is according to the land leases as they are all on UA land. Then it was used as an Honors House and then the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc rented it and then it was torn down during the 3rd to last stadium renovation when the first suites on the east side were built (north end zone was 2nd to last renovation and last one was the new one bringing the capacity this year to over 101,000 - 5th largest in the country). A lot can happen in 32 years.
