I just read midnight sun today and I'm very disappointed that she isnt going to finish it. I know she should be upset by the leak but dont throw such a huge hissy, I want to know the rest.
even though I feel so childish being into twilight I was secretly team jacob but I think that Midnight Sun made me move towards Edward. I never really got his apeal, or his attraction to Bella (who I really dislike) but Midnight Sun made me really like him and I wish Stephanie Meyer would just finish, but I guess I'm just greedy.
At least I get to see Taylor Lautner shirtless in the New Moon movie

I'm glad someone linked this thread because I thought about it the other day but was too lazy to get online & look for it. There was an actress I pictured as Rosalie, but couldn't remember her name until I saw the trailer for Dear John earlier this week.

^^ I think she is forever imprinted in my head as "the dumb one" from Mean Girls, so I don't think she would have worked for me.
I guess I kinda like Nikki Reed in the role - she's pretty, but she's an "evil pretty" - or maybe that's just because she plays it well.

I did! I thought it was the best movie so far. My boyfriend was even entertained (mostly because of the wolves).
Its been a couple years since I read the book but seeing the movie last night reminded me of how frustrating I found the whole Bella-Jacob-Edward love triangle to be. I liked how they did the backstories, especially Jasper's (loved his southern drawl!).

I will probably go see it this weekend, so if any of you post any spoilers before then, the 13 year old in me with kick your tails. KTHXBI

Seeing it at 9:15 Monday morning with my two sisters (one of which did go to the midnight showing and graciously agreed to go see it again )
Looking forward to it!

As much as I loved the first movie, this one takes 1st by a nose. The wolves looked awesome!!! Bella comes off as so selfish in this book/movie so she annoyed me the whole film lol

I did not care for the movie. From what I can tell, I'm in the minority because of that. This kind of surprised me, but we'll see what happens as more people go and see it.
I hated the beginning. Kristen Stewart's acting seems to be getting worse, not better. She has literally two faces that she uses, and most of the time I feel that she just seems dull and lifeless and just there behind the camera. Maybe that's why I like the books better, because in them you can read everything that she's thinking, which is, at times, interesting and reveals a lot about her character.
The other reason why I hated the beginning is that I don't like movies that differ much from the books. Call me a purist, but it's just that when I have a mental picture of what a scene's going to look like and it either doesn't happen, doesn't happen in the right sequence, or is changed completely, I get a little miffed. I don't even like the books all that much (Stephanie Meyer is, I think, a pretty average writer and her books are kind of one-note) but I don't like the changed movie representations all that much better.
However, to not be a complete Debbie Downer I did really like the ending. They kept true to SOME of the more important scenes, IMHO, which I liked. I also don't really like Robert Pattison's acting in the series, but that's another post entirely. Maybe I just don't like the character of Edward, haha, that could have something to do with it. Nonetheless I did really like the wolves (how could you not?) and I felt that Taylor Lautner did a good job. He's not a fantastic actor but I feel that the character of Jacob probably isn't too much of a stretch for him, so he does a good job. I also like that the movie moved along, there was only one part when I started to get a little bored. All in all I'd give it a 6.5 out of 10. Not bad, but not my favorite. I am excited for Breaking Dawn though. I liked that book the best I think (most people said they liked Twilight the best but I saw the movie first so it kind of ruined the surprise for me), and I'm excited about how it will be represented on screen. Luckily, none of us have very long to wait, haha.
(Hijack) Also, seeing the new HP trailer of the big screen looked amazing, and I CANNOT WAIT for July 2011. For me this series really was life shaping, as I read my first book at age 10, graduated HS the same year that the 7th book came out, and am now likely going to be graduated or very nearly so when the 7th movie comes out. I. am. so. pumped! (/Hijack/)

*There were a few minor inaccuracies/sequential changes from the book. Nothing major though, so it didn't bother me.
*I was disappointed that Summit cut the Angela/Bella graduation announcements scene. Oh well, it will be on the DVD.
*I don't like the new hairstylist/whoever picked out the wigs for the Cullens (same as New Moon). Alice, Jasper, Esme, and Carlisle looked so much better in Twilight.
*I loved the "fire and ice" scene in the tent.
*I liked the backstories on Rosalie and Jasper, but I felt like Rosalie and Bella built more of a rapport in the book. It still seemed like Rosalie was cold to her in the movie. I was a little bummed that the other backstories were cut.
*It's really a shame that Summit fired Rachelle LeFevre. I really would have liked to see her finish the role as Victoria. Dallas Bryce-Howard just doesn't look evil enough.
I am not one of those "books are always better than movies" types. I think books go into more detail, and movies bring them to life, so my perception of the story is a mesh of the two.

Got my tickets for 9:35 Saturday night. We have a theater here that does reserved seating, which is awesome - no standing in line, and you don't have to get there early to get a good seat.
