I think I am the only girl in my generation who did NOT like "My So Called Life."

"The Riches," from the FX channel, ran in 2007-2008. It is about a couple of Irish Travelers- Irish gypsies, really, played by Eddie Izzard and Minnie Driver, who assume the identities of a couple killed in a car crash. They go on to try to fit into upper middle class suburbia, with rather hilarious results. It bears certain similarities to "Weeds," with a nod to "Mad Men." I was browsing Netflix, and found it. I wish it had not been cancelled. (Google Irish Travelers- pretty interesting)

OOO I loved The Riches! I heart Minnie Driver though. (and UK travelers give new meaning to "trash")

I have heard that Irish travelers can be found throughout the south, but I have never heard of them in California. The Riches, like Weeds, was filmed largely in and around Santa Clarita. Much of 24 was filmed there, too.

NCIS is also filmed in Santa Clarita, a friend of mine...his workplace is a consistent filming location.

Dollhouse! How could I have forgotten Dollhouse?

Now I will have to resign my membership in the Church of Whedon!

If anyone didn't catch Freaks and Geeks during its brief run in 1999, IFC is going to start airing it beginning this week, probably because of the popularity of its cast: Seth Rogan, Jason Segel, James Franco, Busy Philipps. It looks like the freaks at McKinley High were actually the ones Most Likely to Succeed.

The other day I also remembered a show that really should have been on the list of someone as retro oriented as I am: American Dreams.

Bumping because today at lunch my coworkers and I were talking about our schoolgirl "crushes" and one girl brought up the blonde guy from "Life Goes On." That was a good show!

I, too, had a crush on him.

DEVASTATED when they killed off his character.
