Has anyone else received this warning from either the NPC or their individual fraternity/sorority?

Facebook Stalking Alert

June 15, 2010 - Kappa Alpha Theta and the National Panhellenic Conference have become aware of a potential risk to our collegiate members. Please read the University of Florida police bulletin (PDF) in regards to an individual who is targeting women in online solicitations. If you know of a woman who may have been a target, please encourage her to immediately report it to her appropriate local law enforcement agency-campus police, city police, or local sheriff's department.

WOW! And no, thank goodness. I hope people know better than to send pictures to strangers (or anyone) over the internet.

Does this seem like common sense to anyone? DONT TRUST PEOPLE YOU DONT KNOW OVER THE INTERNET.

The Internet generation (those who weren't born before the Internet) lacks common sense.

At the same time, people share info (including photos) on GC that could result in stalking.

Not all of us. (Though I didn't have internet at home until I was in 5th grade, I suppose I still fall into that category.) People my age and older don't seem to be quite as idiotic about posting personal info but I swear every year we had to have a talk with the girls in our chapter about safety...and about not posting every moment of their lives. Like drunkfests. I've even stumbled on facebook pictures of friends smoking pot. That they posted. On the internet.

I can't imagine why anyone would send pictures in this case, though...I mean if I wanted to be in Maxim that badly I'd at least call the company to double check. If any of them had done that they wouldn't have gotten screwed over by this guy.

As sad as this is it is funny. Who in their right mind would send nude pics to strangers or think talent agents recruit through FB? I would like to know what the 4 poses were that were so scandalous that made them send topless next. I would much rather have those pics posted on websites than give out nude pics but then again I don't care to be famous based on what my momma gave me.
