Don't walk around outside in the dirt, and/or mud or there's a possibility you could get hookworms. Once inside, (rent free) they don't eat the food you've eaten, instead they pierce the lining of your intestinal wall and drink the blood from it.

Good luck on the job hunt! I know you will do great!
Advice: When you shake someone's hand (especially if you are a woman), make sure it is firm. Nobody likes a limp fish in their hands-it's weird! Cheerfulgreek, I hope you give a great handshake on all your interviews! I know you will make an impact on potential employers and GOOD LUCK!

lol @ the "limp fish". Yep. I have heard that before. People say that I do have a pretty firm handshake. My boss said he spoke highly of me to them, so hopefully I'll be able to back up what he said. I'm meeting with them on Monday and Tuesday. It's not really for a position now, but after I graduate next year. I want to be a veterinary cardiologist, so I'll need to do my residency under a Dr. who specializes in internal medicine. I'm hoping everything works out for me. And thank you so much for the advice and encouraging remarks.
Have a wonderful weekend, als463.

Adjust your mirrors before you start driving. NOT at a stop light.

Shout this from the rooftop!
I hate getting limp wristed handshakes. I see it as a sign of disrespect and disregard, especially when it comes from a man because he is assuming I want "handshake chivalry" and/or can't handle a firm shake. If people are not physically weak and fragile, PLEASE give a firm handshake.

^^^My handshake has always been pretty firm, but not a death grip or anything. I shook another woman's hand and she was limp as a fish. She didn't squeeze back AT ALL so her hand just crumpled under mine and she yelled like I hurt her. I was like, "Really?"

Oh, I agree with both you and Dr.Phil. I HATE when people shake it so lightly (as if you are a leper). I think we can all agree it is very disrespectful to shake like a limp fish.

I knew this before I was a Kappa. What I posted is called teasing, not generalizing (to me). CG was teasing and I was too. Also, the only reason why any man, in whatever fraternity, ugly, good looking, average, awkward, or whatever, who believes a "stereotype" and practices it has low self esteem. And any woman who gives men like this "play" (whatever that means) also has low self esteem. I feel sorry for both.
I'm surprised you took me seriously.

Clinical procedures should always be done correctly. Unfortunately, in some hospitals, they're not. Like with peritoneal catherization and lavage. It's important to allow the animal to urinate, or empty the bladder by urethral catherization. For most animals, local anesthesia is sufficient. A reversible narcotic sedative can also be used. I mean, if it's necessary. And for positioning, the animal should be placed in either right or left lateral recumbency.
