I just woke up from the craziest dream and I can't sleep right now so I'm going to write it down before details disappear from memory.
The kids and i were vacationing along a lake at a place I had been lots of times (in the dream, not in real life). There was a main entrance to the resort and then they would take you by boat to your more remote cabin on the lake. We had arrived at our cabin and we were floating on blow up float .. pool toy type things, not really an innertube, because mine was long enough for 3 people to hang on to. I was hanging on to mine, floating in the water, and there were two other people holding mine, on the opposite side from me. Suddenly this massive (like 60 foot) wave came and started wooshing us down the lake. I started to panic and then told myself to just relax my body and flow with it because people drown when you fight it. We were going incredibly fast and I wondered if the other two people were still holding on. They were not my kids.. they were two random guys who I was just talking to. I had also been on the phone at the time so I was holding the phone above my head as we rode this wave, trying not to let it get wet. The wave subsided and dropped us right where we had started.. at the entrance to the resort, in a like a canal. In this canal, there were a lot of people on jetskis. I saw my ex boyfriend from high school/college on a jet ski as I was being let off and yelled "Help me" to him, but the momentum of the wave was still a little with me and it took me a little further away from him. I found the entrance to the resort and asked if they could take me by boat back to my area and the said no, the water was too rough and they weren't taking anybody in the water out there. So I started walking back. I was kind of wading in the water as I walked and there were some other people around me. Suddenly, I saw another wall of water coming straight at me. I turned to run and yelled "Run!" to other people too but I could run fast enough. That wave plastered me against the sand, face down, but I had created kind of a seal, like a bubble, between my head and the sand so I was able to breathe. My phone had been in my hand and it was in the sealed off space too, so it was staying dry. The weight of the water was so strong it felt like it was crushing me, so I decided I had to float up or I would die. I was able to float up and rode the wave into shore again. I tried to call my kids but my phone would work at first. Then I tried again and my son answered. His voice sounded very scared, but he had answered. I couldn't speak at all but was thinking hello and trying really hard to make the word come out. I said it out loud finally and woke up at the same time, hearing myself say "hello". When I first woke up, I felt like I was plastered to the bed, unable to move, but then I did move and I got up and went to the little girls' room and then came back to type this out. Now I'm going to bed.
What the hell was that dream about?? sheesh.

My dream was so fragmented. I only remember pieces:
*My bracelet broke so I took it to the bank to be fixed.
*I was in Bank of America and I kept finding money inside the ATM.
*I lived in a mansion with a bunch of girls and it flooded. A girl on the top floor drowned.

I'm bumping because I've had a few strange dreams over the last few days. Thursday night, I had a dream that was hanging out with my mom (who passed away in Sept '07). I could see my grandma (her mother) but she was transparent, like a ghost, and all dressed in white. I asked my mom if she could see her and she said "No" in a scared kind of voice. I grabbed at my grandma's arm and pulled her over to me and told my mom where she was and told her to give my grandma a hug. My mom did and tears sprung to her eyes because she could feel her spirit there even though she couldn't see her. Then my grandma's image turned from all white to all brown and she sprinted away, through a wall. My mom followed her.
I can only attribute this to a couple of things. I had received a phone call earlier in the week from my mom's brother (my Uncle B) to let me know that my aunt's father had passed away. So, death, my mom's family, etc was all on my subconscious mind. My mom's birthday is coming up too, so that probably added to it. I was out of sorts all day because of it though. I have dreams that I'm interacting with my mom a few times a year. I always wonder if she's trying to communicate with me that way. I think she is.
Today, I fell asleep on the couch after our statewide sorority luncheon to celebrate our Founders Day (We do it in April because the collegians are scattered at the end of May).
I had a dream that I was driving to an alumnae club meeting but was so tired that I kept having to force myself to keep my eyes open. Then I was at the alumnae club meeting, sitting on the couch, apologizing to my sisters that I couldn't keep my eyes open because I was so sleepy. I kept trying to force my eyes open in my dream. I ended up trying so hard that I finally woke up.

On last Saturday night, I had a dream that it was Easter Sunday and my aunt (whom I haven't seen in years) came to church. She was one of my favorite aunts before she and my uncle split and she stopped coming to family functions. I think I dreamed about her because I recently found an old card she gave me with her phone number in it. Well, I was obviously glad to see her at church and we had a great reunion. The next morning (Easter Sunday), I woke up really missing her and thinking about giving her a call. Well, I think you can tell what happened next--I went to church and was sitting with my mom and MY AUNT WALKED IN THE DOOR. The usher showed her to the very last open seat in the sanctuary--directly behind me! I was so happy to see her and completely freaked out at the same time. I used to have dreams that came true all the time, but it hasn't happened in awhile.

I had a bunch of dreams last night; none of them were good.
In one dream, my family and I were trying to catch a train to Poland, but somehow only my cousin and I made it on the train. I lost my suitcase.
In another dream, which may have been an extension of the Poland train one, I was trekking through some sort of African desert with this group. We came upon this oasis, and everyone was exclaiming about how marvelous it was; it was really beautiful too. Then the tour guide basically tore into all of us for our hypocrisy of looking for and glorifying exotic experiences that were no more meaningful than the experiences that we could have at home.
In another dream, I was sitting on this couch in this house being sad. Then an ex showed up, and he said I know why you are so sad. You miss me. I said, My mom died last month. He felt stupid. That was the last one. I am not going back to sleep. :neutal:

I had a Greek dream last night! I dreamt I was at San Jose State, and I was going to help out with bid day for one of the sororities there because it would be a nice Panhellenic gesture. I couldn't decide if I should go to AOII, DZ, or KD. It's funny because they have all of those orgs in real life, so I didn't just make it up in my dream.

I'm just gonna stay up because I keep having the same nightmare over and over, again. I mean, it's not like I have to wake up early or anything.

A couple of weeks ago I had this dream that I was back in high school. It was between classes and I had tto get to my locker. Except for some reason,I couldn't find my locker. I kept walking up and down the hallway. I stopped at a locker that I thought was mine, but it turned out to belong to someone else. Finally I get to "my" locker, but it doesn't have a lock on it, and when I opened the door, there was a white canvas drawstring bag in it. I know the bell is about to ring, so I go downstairs to the office to tell somebody I can't find my locker. So i tell this lady, hey I can't find my locker can you tell me where it is. And the lady is like no because we are getting ready to expell you for using drugs. I tell the lady that I worked 2 jobs and was involved in like 5 different extra-curriculars. I didn't have time to do drugs. So the lady said she had to talk to her boss, but I woke up before I found out if I had gotten kicked out of school

It's really fuzzy now, but I know the dream I had last night was scary.

I'm sooooo sick of this reoccurring dream that I have. Actually, I'm not positive that this falls under the reoccurring dream category, because details and how the dream plays out is always different but it's always the same theme.
For a really long time (I'm going to guess around 8 years or so) I have a dream that my dad died about 3-6 times a year. It is TERRIBLE because it seems so real, so I'm just distraught over it. And then I wake up like THANK GOD!!! I wish it would stop

I've been having strange dreams for the past week. The other day I had a dream about zombies. A group of friends and I had to defend ourselves from a huge swarm of zombies, one of which was Gary Coleman. I don't know why or where or wtf...
And last night I dreamed about helping save a small village (who lived in an apartment complex) from the largest tsunami ever recorded.
I need to figure out where these dreams are coming from and stop doing it.

I'm taking a class for work from home this week and doing lots of school work during breaks from it and stuff. This afternoon though, he gave us an hour to complete a lab that I had already completed so I laid down to watch The View while the rest of the class did their labs. I fell asleep and dreamed that I won The Amazing Race although the format for announcing the winner was like The Survivor format. My dream was taking place the day I was going to find out, at a tropical location. There were only two of us and we were about to find out who won and I was so excited I couldn't hardly stand it. Then, I won! I woke up right after that to find out that I had missed some of the online course lecture and they were at lunch already..lol. Oops!
