Whenever an old thread is bumped, it needs to be checked out for interestingness. This thread passes the interestingness test and I was actually thinking of the Illuminati stories myself.

To be on topic, after the First World War, TKE absorbed a small National who was supposed to have Masonic links. I have seen Masonic sources who still say that TKE is one of the Masonic sponsored fraternities because of this.
