LOL, probably not. He's just mad that he's had to lock up his stuff because talking to them nicely hasn't worked and he's had to dig into his savings to buy more food; his food budget for the year has been busted.

Oh, I'd be mad, too, if my food was getting stolen, and I'd be very frustrated if talking to them nicely hadn't worked.

But saying they're "a couple of IT nerds whose faces he's going to bust if they take his food again" isn't LOLworthy in my opinion. Just sayin.

I took it more as she was surprised that IT guys would be the main perpetrators because they are usually more polite and courteous than that. It does seem more like a dumb jock move.

Maybe it's because I have a kid in middle school who's had to deal with more than his fair share of bullying for his nerdiness (actually worse in elementary school than in middle school so far) that the "IT nerd" along with busting faces struck a nerve.
