Question for NYC GreekChatters

Did any of y'all see that Fox 5 newcaster inexplicably curse on the air? The story even made overseas news.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/news...ken-gaffe.html

The look on his co-anchor's face is priceless.

Does he have Tourette's or something? Is he well known for this sort of thing?

He's a veteran anchor here in the city, with over 20 years on the job. I think it was an unfortunate slip.

"Keep f---ing that chicken" appears to have no widely-understood meaning, with commenters on US blogs suggesting that he probably meant to say plucking.

That part puzzled me the most. I thought I had missed some new slang.

Oooh, let's invent what that would mean.

Could if refer to times that someone you actually like is beating a dead horse of an issue that it would be healthier to just move on from?

Like, "yeah, keep f--king that chicken" or in different company "yeah, keep plucking that chicken"

Same here - i havent watched the video, but i dont see him intentionally saying that.

According to the AMNY article this morning, Sue Simmons dropped an f-bomb when she thought the cameras were off. i DEFINITELY dont see her doing such.

Oh, Ernie Anastos, he of the photo in every single freaking Greek diner in this town, has said crazy stuff before.

Even though "keep effing that chicken" wasn't slang before, my group is making it such now. Keep effing that chicken, GreekChat!
