From the Foundation website:
Quote:
Planned Giving and the Corinthian Society

The Corinthian Society honors those Alpha Gamma Delta members who have included the Foundation in their estate planning—through wills, trusts, insurance policies, pension plans, real or personal property gifts and annuities. Donors may receive estate tax benefits. These donors are leaving a special legacy while insuring a strong future for the Foundation and members of Alpha Gamma Delta.

Members must officially notify the Foundation Executive Director that they have made such provisions in order to be listed as a Corinthian.

Contact the Executive Director at gwilkerson@alphagammadelta.org for more information.

Bumping a three and a half year old thread, yikes!

I am filling out the paperwork for the Corinthian Society this afternoon. I really can't give as much as I would like now, but I figure that this way I'm giving. Not having a spouse or children makes this a lot easier, and if the man I plan to marry objects to designating part of my estate to AGD, then he obviously isn't the man for me!

I have free life insurance through work, and they offer additional group term at a really nice price (eight cents per thousand dollars), so I designated a portion to Foundation, and the rest will be to my neice/nephew once they are born next summer. I just don't have cash to give now, so if I get hit by some idiot that is gabbing on their cellphone instead of paying attention to driving I'll end up giving then.
