Talking

Mary Lou (Alumnae President) and I are taking the first available flight out to Maui to celebrate the first ever IRD on Maui! I hope your celebrations will be just as fun as ours is going to be!

"The Rose Song"

Here's to the rose, the crimson Rose, of our Fraternity; Here's to the rose, the fair Buff Rose, In all its purity...
Of all the flowers that bud or bloom, with cloud or sun above,
"Tis to the Rose of either hue, we pledge our deepest love.

When first to the Rose we pledged our faith, we pledged with jollity;
Memory now has hallowed the love we sacredly bring to thee.
Oh, Alpha Gamma Delta Rose, Our cherished floral sign,
May all that is noblest and purest and best
Be ever and always thine.

The years have brought to our well-beloved roses, Beauty and strength and charm;
May the years guard our new Roses so tender, and keep them all from harm.
Oh New Roses of Alpha Gamma Delta, May it ever be
That joy and strength and beauty and honor
Shall always abide in thee.

Happy International Reunion Day to all my Alpha Gamma Delta sisters!

Love and Loyalty in Epsilon Pi,
Maria

Alpha Gamma Delta

Alpha Gamma Delta is like a masterpiece, one similar to the rainbow.
Each sister represents a color, one different from all the others, yet when we come together we create a beautiful work of art.
We must all remember we are different individuals, but we contrast and compliment each other.
Each sister should be proud of her color, the part of Alpha Gam that she is.
Through sisterhood loving, sharing, crying, playing, studying and all the time we spent with each other we should all remember the rainbow and how bright it shines...
Because of of the beautiful indiviuals that make up.....Our Alpha Gamma Delta.

Happy International Reunion Day to all Alpha Gam's!

Even though i'll be at work I will be sporting the badge today (or the ribbon if I can't find proper badge/work attire...forgive me if I don't )

Happy IRD ladies!

Sisters

Friends will go and friends will stay
It doesn't matter anyway,
Because our sisters, tried and true
Will always be there for you.
Alpha Gamma Delta’s the one
For laughter, friendship, tears and fun.
We know as sisters we will start
Friendships dear to all our hearts.
Because as squirrels we have the best
And brightest hearts inside our chests.
We don't know where our journey ends,
But sisters are forever friends.

Maria, Tonya, and Leslie, Thank you for sharing those poems and toughts here. That was a very sweet thought to share.

I just got in from my IRDS ( that's right plural IRDs). I went to both UAB's and Univ. of Montvallo's. I had lunch with the UAB AGD's then went to Univ. of M program briefly. They did the usual chapter role, state of the chapter etc.. It (UAB's IRD) was origanally to be held at a state park and because of impending weather it was moved to their chapter suite inside.
I thought of each one of you all as they listed your respective chapters and schools. Lisa

Lisa,

I was just about to PM you to ask where you were. How did we not run into each other? I looked for you at IRD and couldn't find you.

Jen

IRD on Maui was a blast! It was great to see the Maui sisters--some for the first time, some for the second time! Hopefully in the years ahead Maui IRD will grow into a bigger and better celebration! I got to see the "Campaign for Alpha Gamma Delta" video again, and imagine my surprise to see my face included in it!!! Of course, it's the infamous Sandy and Sarah Convention picture that IHQ seems to love so much *heehee*...but it's a nice honor to be included in the video...

This Saturday will be the Oahu IRD...and I can't wait!
