I'm loving this season so far. Probably because it's in Brooklyn, and the "house" is a mile from where my grandma lived/my uncle's pizzeria/my dad's cousins live. Also I have cousins that work on the docks.

And JD is going off about going to the corner store and the lady not speaking English. Good luck over there sweetheart. Most of the shops are owned by Chinese people yet I never had problems talking to them.

Baya isn't THAT good. She can dance but I couldn't see her making a career out of it. And even if she could, her extreme lack of confidence in her skills kills it for her. I couldn't believe she turned the school down!

As for Chet. Stop, please stop. I usually hate it when people try to define. But let's call a spade a spade. I saw what you were wearing at the Notorious premiere... If you are not gay then you are ten flavors of ZESTY.

I was agape at JD. How can he criticize others for not speaking English when he's from Miami and he knows darn well that a LOT of his Cuban people (and many other nationalities) don't ever learn to speak English? I won't accuse him or his family personally, but he really should be used to that by now. (Lord knows I am

). I guess maybe it's because it wasn't Spanish the shopkeeper was speaking!

I wish they'd stop going into corners to talk about who's gay and who was born with a peen. It's stale. (I missed the beginning, did they get over that this episode or no?)

JD making those comments about the shopkeeper... I think they were said mainly because he was wasted. Whether he truly thinks that way or not, I don't know. But I'll wait to see if this attitude continues throughout the show (because yes, he's probably going to run into many people who don't speak English there in Brooklyn).

I think that Baya can dance, but she doesn’t have much confidence, which blows it for her and makes her screw up. And maybe that’s because she’s trying out on national television. But if you’re going to be a performer, things like that can’t bother you. I’m glad she found a place where she feels more comfortable dancing, though. In any case, I like her. She’s in Brooklyn for the Real World, but she’s also doing her own thing. Go Baya.

Chet’s not my favorite. I see him and JD having problems.

I didn’t really like Ryan at first, but I think he’s growing on me. And when Katelynn and Sarah were talking in the kitchen and he was making those faces, I nearly died.

And I need to see more of hot Scott! I’m afraid he’s going to be like Simon from ‘Real World: Paris’ leaving everyone to wonder, “Where’s Scott?”

Yea, I don’t see why he blew up at JD. If JD doesn’t like pranks (and I could have guessed that by how he was reacting to Chet joking around about the condoms, even before the banana ended up in the fish tank), then he should have just apologized. Him trying to justify it only made the argument worse.

Basically, Chet attempting to show the world that Mormons are awesome isn't working.

(I’m not saying that they aren’t, but he isn’t helping the cause)

What was up with Devon and her BFFometer? That was just weird and if I were Scott I would've been totally creeped out. Devon gets on my nerves so I thought it was funny when she found out Scott has some beautiful girl he's really into back home and that she will be visiting at some point.

Here's a question.. Katelynn was shown dancing with and on a date with a guy (and making out with a girl, which I didn't understand, but whatever).. do these guys not KNOW she is transgender? To me it's 100% obvious when you see her, then DEFINITELY when you hear her speak. The club I can understand, it's dark and maybe you can't tell.. but then after her date she was talking about telling the guy she was transgender. Do these guys just not know or it's not a big deal to them?

I wonder the exact same thing. Like honestly, how can they NOT know? I understand there are some un-attractive women out there, but when you couple that with her voice, it's like a lightbulb should turn on in their head.

Katelynn only told certain people, but i'm pretty sure everyone in the house knows it, cause Chet said something about her being trans while he was in the shower.

I tend to think that I might not have known about Katelynn being transgender had they not said it the second we first met her. There are some girls that have more manly qualities, and vice versa, and I might have thought that she wasn't the most attractive girl ever, but I don't think I'd automatically jump to the conclusion that she used to be a guy.

Anyway... is it just me or does anyone else find Sarah to be extremely annoying?

ETA: And if I were Scott, I’d probably be afraid of Devon. What was up with the insane-ometer she showed him? She was only about one step away from sending him a note saying, “Do you like me? Circle one.”

I'm wondering if the guys with Katelynn maybe suspect she might be transgender, but if someone doesn't tell you, I'd think most people definitely wouldn't ask. It'd be more than awkward to ask someone if they used to be a man/woman.. especially if they didn't! I still think most guys would err on the side of caution in that case if there was any suspicion, but maybe people in Brooklyn are more open-minded or something, lol.

Sarah is growing on me and I still don't know how I feel about Baya. I was shocked Ryan sent her that email at the end of the episode. How pissed would you be watching that if you were Ryan's girlfriend?

That is true. I think if I didn't know it was Katelynn and someone mentioned a transgender on the RW, I honestly would have thought it was Devyn. She's a pretty girl, but everytime I see that part on the opening where they are @ a club (or somewhere) and she smiles w/ her eyes opened wide, I just see a guy not girl.

I find Sarah EXTREMELY annoying, and I find Katelynn annoying. I don't know a lot about transgenders (aside from what I see on TV) but it seems like she is really trying to act like a girl, like above and beyond what she might do normally. I also find their (Sarah and Katelynn) conversation about religion & porpoises extremely dumb. I was just like

Some people just don't care, men or women. For examples see Calpernia Addams and Thomas Beatie. I actually had a college professor who was transgendered, and her (male to female) marriage stayed intact when she decided to openly live as the person she always was. Her wife stayed with her, and I'm not saying I'd be thrilled if my spouse was struggling with sexuality and identity issues, but I'd still love that person and cherish the life and children we had together, even if I couldn't be in a sexual relationship anymore.

I'm confused. Chet has never had sex. He won't do anything sexual at all with a girl until he's married, I'm assuming. But on the last episode he said, when referring to Alex, "I'll give her two weeks," and then he told Ryan tonight that he doesn't see himself marrying her. He also said that he wasn't looking for anything serious while he was in Brooklyn.

So my question is: What is Chet "using" Alex for? Dates?
