Yep
This is the truth. The double standards that prevail in Greek Life. NPHC did us a great disservice in 1990. I don't believe the MIP process was well-defined or thoroughly planned. I still can't comprehend the MIP in general terms.

Eh.... it wasn't the NPHC. And whether MIP was well-defined or thoroughly planned really depends on the organization in question.

Are you still active? If so, the terminology & procedures will probably become more familiar with time.

Exactly, because we developed and tested the DST MIP three years before the NPHC presidents voted to all adopt a MIP and tweak it for their own individual orgs.

Simple. Strip away all of the BS and you have MIP.
And don't forget that we really had no choice but to develop MIPs if we wanted to stay on the major HBCU campuses. As you probably learned in your process, those presidents threatened to kick us all off the yard.

It's not that I don't comprehend MIP, it's that I don't understand how it was envisioned to develop better Greeks. Hazing/pledging still hasn't been depleted and it never will. But, yes, I was made aware the HBCU presidents threatened to kick BGLOs off the yard if we didn't fix our pledge processes. I guess if you don't like it spearhead a way of fixing it, eh? By the way, you all feel free to school me. I crossed into Zeta Phi Beta Fall 2005, not too long ago at all, so I'm definitely learning new things everyday.

As ladygreek said, you strip away all the extra stuff and you have MIP. What better way to develop better members than to get back to the basics of education and training.
