^^ Hell no! I'll take Dunkins over Starbucks any day. Especially because Starbucks' hot chocolate sucks.

The Starbucks in my town has weird hours (it's inside of another store), so Dunkin becomes the place to go most mornings for coffee. I'm not a big coffee drinker myself, but I like Starbucks drinks better than Dunkin's. If I'm going to just have a black coffee, I'll make it at home.

I think I love it because I grew up on Dunkins. In Nashua, NH, where I lived for 18 years, they have at least 10 of them. They're everywhere.

And can we at least agree that Krispy Kreme is awful? haha. Their coffee is horrible and their donuts, well.. they're not like Dunkins'. I love that they built a KK in Medford, MA and it went out of business within a few years of opening.

Same thing happened to the KK in downtown Boston (inside Copley). It didn't last long at all.

I grew up around Dunkin my whole life as well (grew up in CT, went to college in Boston). Some of their stuff is ok, but I'm not as into it as other New Englanders.

I went to Dunkins when we were moving in to get donuts and coffee for everyone that was helping us that day. I ordered a dozen donuts, and one of those boxes of coffee. The girl stared at me, blankly, then said "Oh, a box-o-joe?" No, the OTHER bigass box of coffee. Seriously? Stop naming your stuff stupid things and maybe you'll get me to say them!

Dunkin Donuts makes me miss Tim Horton's something FIERCE.

I'm so sad that's a Canadian/Western NY/Western PA thing. Of course, you gotta love restaurants named after hockey players!

We have all kinds of Tim Hortons around here.. every other mile or so there's another one. It could spread to Chicago (I'm surprised it's not there, honestly!)

Really? I haven't seen a single one! Live-in's mom lives in the North Suburbs and all they've got there is Dunkin Donuts!

I'm very excited now though - hopefully I'll find one soon!

ETA: I looked it up on their website. There are none in Illinois. Sad.

No, Krispy Kreme doughnuts are not like Dunkin's -- they have flavor and are enjoyable to eat. Dunkin Donuts, on the other hand, are barely edible and not at all enjoyable to eat.

But we've been down this road before . . . and DD lost . (And that thread makes me miss DSTChaos all over again. )

I wish Tim Hortons was more places, seriously. Because Tim Bits rock, and they serve lunches, too!

Yummy sandwiches with hot soup and yummy coffee.

NoooooOOOOOoooooooooooo! I can't agree with you on that, sorry. No. No way. We used to stop at that KK in Medford whenever we had a flight out of Logan. If we had an airport limo, we'd ask the driver to stop and get him a coffee and a donut too. They had a bold blend coffee that was great. KK hot glazed donuts = heaven. When we heard it was closing, we contemplated taking a road trip in a snowstorm with our then two-week old child to get several dozen.

Yeah, that! DH and I were on our way to Reno for the weekend and stopped at a McDonalds off of I-5. I got the chicken biscuit. OMG wrong on so many levels. Of course, the closest chick fil a is a little over an hour away

Whenever I go visit my in laws from hell, I bring a can of Tim's back with me.
Good one: This past summer, I went to visit my mother in VA. I adore Dunkin donuts and stopped in to get some coffee and stuff. I ordered my coffee and asked for a small box of TimBits

Yup, I got Tim's on the brain

There's a Tim Horton's in Providence, RI--otherwise known as the belly of the Dunkin Donuts beast. I wonder where else they are.
